I have this need for a Transformers game, not because I think its good or bad (I think its good but thats besides the point)- I have a 7 and 10 yr old- and I act like a 12 yr old all the time... its like fate is pulling me towards destiny and there sits a transformers LE- the question is do you go Autobot, Decpticon, or the mash up... damn thats a hard decision....

Tell Mick I agree, sometimes theme is huge and its frigging fun to battle a transformer with a cool light show. And I also hear the game play is not too bad!

So a sad situation today, despicable me had its brain removed..
We can’t get the mpf 0.21 framework working after a windows update on my laptop...
So we asked the guys at Fast if they could help us out with an affordable board set.
In that case,we are converting DMPM to Fast, just like CM.

I sold the PROC to Dennis van der Pas,he wrote the code for the Matrix.
The Bally boards went to the highest bidder from Germany.
Here i am wrapping and shipping them today..

It was working great man...for everybody still on older mpf versions with no intentions to migrate to v0.50,clone your harddisk!

Wait. You can't get the software to work ... so you're ditching the board set? I don't follow the logic. You can't get MPF to run, so you're going to switch to the board set that only works with MPF ... ? WAT?

Ah,let me explain:
DMPM runs on v0.21 and the installer for that version does not excist anymore.
MPF ditched their old website and a lot of stuff with it and also the o.21 framework installer.
So we had to rewrite the
the code with the only available v0.51.
i am working on the FAST code for Crazy Mansion at the same time and i am too dumb to code for 2 different board sets.
So we decided to switch to FAST for BOTH machines.
Everything is practically the same on p-roc and fast.
And both hardwares are equally fantastic!
But since we are very dumb,we decided to start using FAST hardware for DMPM too.
It could have easily been P-ROC for both machines.
But since we are now working with fast,we do both pins on fast.

#4474 5 years ago

Thanks for clearing that up, Bas. I hope your conversion goes smoothly.

Just to clarify the board details for those reading along, our original P-ROC board is the board that works with existing driver boards (such as the WPC boards the Amigos were using previously in the machine).

The newer and less expensive P3-ROC, combined with PD-16, SW-16, and PD-LED boards, is what most of our custom machine customers (and all of the pinball manufacturers that are using our boards) are using.

Allright...time to start cutting out the wiring harness...
It is kinda sad all that work is for nothing, but on the other hand, this machine deserves better than this spaghetti.
It was 100% functional spaghetti...but this is actually the old WCS wiring harness that we cut up and extended where needed.
It is clear we were trying our best relocating stuff but we learned a lot in the meantime and we can make this way cleaner looking and less wires.

Because there are these rooms in the backbox, the lcd has to go in the back a little.
We’ll make a nice bezel or make the rooms less depth or sumtin.
We’ll figure it out...

Today,working in my carparts shop.
Every spare moment i am soldering these connector pins to the rgb’s.
It took me 5 hours to solder 100 rgb’s.
Not a job for friday evening, takes way too long.

When I did mine I left the leds connected as they came then stuck in all the pins, put a board on it to hold them in place and flipped it over and soldered them all at once, then took them apart. goes much faster. hope that made sense.

#4496 5 years ago

Is that the same technology that MMr uses?
