No fuzz, no tax, all went smooth..the minions slipped through the tax web at customs.
Your insane idea got the gears spinning by the way, whirlwind has a fan blowing in your face, we should be able to add some weird extra thing to the machine like that..
That would be hilarious?

Today i finally got to cleaning up the sound effects.. We had pretty big problems with the music and sound effects not loading at machine boot.
Also had a lot of useless dmd slide attempts that the machine was loading too at boot.
So now it feels great the music starts every single time at boot.
Mission pinball framework is moving on to v0.30 because of the poor audio loading.
We won't be stepping up to v0.30 because we can manage with v0.21.6.
We just have to use our sounds wisely and all will be fine.
The guys from mission pinball framework also took their website down...they had a hard time dealing with spam,crazy setback for us...i was sort of used to how that website looked and navigating it got easier over the months..shocked to see it was gone?
It has been my bible for a year now.
I must admit i did a brave attempt starting all over again, but that required mpf v0.30 and python 3.4
And your v0.21 with python 2.7 immediatly does not work anymore on your computer..so now i was working with my older spare computer too, for having 2 versions but it was just too damn hard.
So then it costed me 2 hours to get my old code and the minion machine back to where it was.
Lost an entire day on that.
I guess for the mission pinball guys it is a walk in the park to flip their code into a new jacket.
But for me it is simply not possible.
Allright, enough about that, let's see the fartblaster farting through the code for the first time!!

ah, man. why do you have to rain on their parade?

a buddy of mine got his LE last week and I will state that it's flippin' fun as hell (got to love how the ball goes under the playfield (and the subway has a physical lock) before popping back up and depositing it in the right side return lane

No, that is the sucky part, they have something for v0.30 , not a website..because it was too labour intensive.
It looks really different and the worst is that the tutorial and the how to files are far from ready.
They are asking people to help with typing files too.
I don't know man, i think they made it very difficult for themselves.
Like i said, i did a brave attempt on v0.30 but ran into a brick wall and ran back to v0.21.6.
Our machine runs great on it and it will take a while to get the code done as it is right now.
Can't start from scratch again on v 0.30 ...just can't.
It was way too hard work all those months.

You can still see the old forum posts, just can't add to them. They have a Google user group for a forum now. I haven't been into it too much since the change, but will be in the next week or so.

Yes just moving Forbidden Planet over to 0.30. I need the multiple windows. Just about every time there's a major upgrade I end up starting again. The google group is up and working and you can still look at the old archive on the site.
From early coding 0.30 looks well worth the upgrade, just using multiple cores will speed things up considerably, so will the new media player.

I have a copy of your code, it is beautiful and so organised.
If i had to wright that again, i'd go crazy?
But i follow your project closely and the delays in Forbidden Planet are a pain.
You are so close to the truth and then stuff starts lagging like crap.
I know you threw sfx out so mpf could carry the load..so that is what i did too, loose some weight..
I am gonna shorten some songs in the machine and just make the shorter clips loop..so there is less data to load at boot.
And then squeeze in some minimal sfx that we absolutely need.
I think we will be gold on v0.21.6 , we just have to use everything wisely.
Your grand lcd animations in forbidden planet need the v0.30 horsepower, you have no option.

on pyprocgameHD, you can stream songs vs pre-loading them as sounds and I would think that kind of thing would be supported in MPF as well. However, you can only have one streaming song playing at a time.
