It is servo friday!
Gonna install the 12 channel pololu maestro i have laying about and install a servo on this front door.
After that, i hope i have some time left to work on the shutters for Crazy Mansion.

I can now pull out the keyboard and mouse and write code looking at the backbox lcd or boot the machine and throw them back in the pin?
So no more external pc’s and wires from now on...pretty big milestone actually.

First i am going to convert a tool..
My uncle(80 years young)builds big remote control planes and thus he uses a lot of servos.
And he told me a neat trick.

You drill a tiny hole on one side of a plier.

I guess i’ll use a spring like crazy mansion..if stuff doesn’t aline exactly,it can move some and will find its place after a while

I used some 3 wire servo cable to feed ground,5 volts and 12 volts to the backbox so i can feed the pololu maestro and some lights and the disco ball on top of gru’s house.

I simply cut off one end of a servo extension cable...and i have juice for the servo controller!

Okay...my cable is too short to run it to the intel nuc
So i took the laptop out of the bin and we are downloading the pololu interface to check if the servo works.

Ok,the pololu interface is installed so i can move the servo with my laptop touchpad.

Hm...you know what?

Despicable Me needs a ton of work to get up and running for upcoming UK pinfest.
I actually borrowed it’s intel NUC computer and Fast nano controller because i had some fried stuff on Crazy Mansion.
I actually forgot i gutted it so it came as quite a shock,it runs on simple code but where did i store the code?

We love it so much we build ourselves a pinball machine lol

Oldpinguy provided this volcano light , it is a controllable led which pulses like fire…real cool.
It’s good to see the machine after 2+ years.
It is actually build pretty decent
