Quoted from smokinhos:

I watched some of the stream.. yes Karl is way better than I will ever be, but I still can't get over how uninspired the final mode seems. The pin has tremendous art and light show, and despite not based on the original TS characters, the TS4 narrative is great. Is it wrong for me to still expect more at this price point?

I’m hear there’s more code coming.

I truly hope you are right as I want to believe we have JJP employees apart of pinside reading all the negativity regarding the expectation and what was delivered for the price increase.
What another pinsider said the layout/mech is fixed and cannot be altered. All JJP can do is add more code.
I hope you are right to reconsider how easy it was to complete the game and inject content to make it harder. Though, that would be a redesign from the code perspective and not sure how viable that is.
All JJP can do to soften this price issue is make the code insanely better than it is (depth and uniqueness).
FYI, I have yet to play the game and only seen streamers play.

Setting up Carnival MB isn't always easy and I've only seen Take a Chance MB once. You have to collect everything on the spinning wheel to get Take a Chance MB. If you hit the captive ball before collecting the selected perk, the wheel spins again to something else making it tougher to collect them all.

Getting the Super Jackpot in Take a Chance MB is really cool. You're instructed to make the shots that you had to make to collect the wheel awards. Then lock a ball in the Road Trip lock and a second on the left ramp. Once those two are locked, you have 25 seconds to make the Tiki lock shot on the virtual pinball game for the Super Jackpot. If you fail to get it, the two locked balls are released and you have to relock them and try again.

Spent more time on TS4 last night with friends. The 'its too easy' hype is overplayed. Unless you are a very good player, the challenges of the game should keep you in check. The exit from the pops and the slings both very frequently take away a great ball. Keep a tilt on the game, don't make it so super easy in settings and just play! Our audits show an avg of about 5min games right now.
It's sad when you hear people talk about games being too easy.. then you buy a game from someone and you find they've maxed the ball save timers, made EB super easy, lowered requirements, etc. Don't make a game play forever and then complain it's too easy
I did play around with Gabby more after keefer's comments. Mine was still rejecting hard shots pretty regularly. If it helps to think about how it works... the gabby head is connected at a pivot at the back/top of her head, and sticks her chin out towards the player to latch the drop target. So she doesn't go backwards to drop, but rather dips her chin. Based on keefer's comments, before I was trying to push the back of her head back.. but instead this time I tried to really pull her chin forward. I didn't get much play... but afterwards she was going down on every hit, even hard hits. She does pickup ball dirt pretty easily, and wouldn't wipe off dry.. had to use some novus as a solvant and it wiped off. So I expect paint/finish on her to be an issue long term.
Who understand the carnival locks fully? It seems finishing carnival modes is part of the lock enablement? But sometimes it says 'locks enabled' but the lock isn't ready. Does someone know the precise rules around those locks?

I'd like to know what qualifies the Carnival locks also. Its seems like they can be enabled and ready, but if you start something (the next carnival mode maybe?) the option to lock goes away. Carnival MB is great if set up with the correct perks to take into it.

Frankly I don't know the details that closely. I believe 3 conseq loops will do it without any other qualifier.

You still need to get Super Loops on the wheel first.

Quoted from Freakyguy666:

I think the virtual pinball screen could also be programmed to play a completely different way…how about hitting shots on the real playfield affecting something on that screen in realtime? For example hitting the jump ramp would be reflected on the screen as rolling the ball down the middle of a Skee Ball, with a timer so you have to hit a requisite number of shots to maximize the jackpot bonus…or a whack-an-alien game on the VR Pinball screen when you need to hit gabby gabby with the benson posts popping up to make the shot tougher…I think they only scratched the surface with the VR Pinball and it affecting the actual pops….there seems to be a lot of room for expansion but with JJP I just don’t see them going to the trouble of doing these kinds of massive updates…

They are already doing what you are suggesting. The carnival games are represented on the small screen and react to the correct shots.

more close detail/video of the topper please!
The animated effects of the backboard in the game is something that really stood out to me once we had the game in hand... vs expectation of what we saw in the reveal. So I'm really curious if the topper has the same kind of 'hidden gem' effect of being far more than expected.

Tony posted a video on FB and it does have the same lighting effect around the firework explosions.
