Quoted from Cire113:

Does anyone know anything about the JJP stock coil stops and if they have the same reputation as the stern coil stops which people reccomends to change almost immediately

I have never needed to change my jjp stops. I’ve had 5 JJPs

I haven't seen the same issues. In commercial use.

Williams DMD era coil stops work fine in jjp games.

From my understanding, that is really only a Stern issue.

I’ve had my ts4 since September and all the rubbers are already getting real worn at 1000 plays m; I have no idea how I am going to actually replace the rubbers I know where to buy them but a lot of them are in such tight spaces are completely covered by plastic ;

And do replace the slingshots you have to remove the ramps correct?

Honestly, it is good practice. Some are harder to change than others, but it is a good time to inspect the machine… look for anything loose… look for any wear… and give it a bit of tlc. Just remember no to overtighten the plastics and you’ll be fine.

I don't have the game to check. Left side no. Right side has a locknut to remove to slide the wireform over.

I honestly don’t have the confidence to do this ; I have no problem getting the right rubbers and no problem taking it apart or even replacing the rubbers ; I can do all that problem is have terrible learn disability and putting things back together is impossible for me ;

I guess I could get it all apart and take pics I doubt I’ll still Remeber

There’s lots of intricate parts and ramps to this game and tons of stuff have to be removed to put in all new rubber like a ridiculously amount of stuff

Maybe if I do it real slow one section at a time

Titan pinball kit database has been a godsend for me

Where are you located? I'm sure there's a fellow pinhead nearby that would gladly help you navigate this and build confidence.

Finding a local is a great idea... I personally love introducing new people to pinball. There are lots of pinheads who would totally get you started. If you do decide to give it a try sometime, you absolutely should only take apart one area at a time, take photos of everything, you can even rough draw out a part on paper and place the screws in the area on the paper. I never remove more than needed to get to the rubbers in an area, replace them one by one, then replace the plastics and screws as soon as you finish an area, don't pull them all off and then replace them.

Harder to get to rubber is more likely to last longer and some can frankly just be skipped at first, just start with the slings and flippers, those are the first to go. The others can wait and maybe another pinhead can assist. If they are hard to install, soak the new ones in warm to hot water, not too hot, wipe them off and install. Flipper rubbers mostly are the ones that may need this.. the others dont'.

Dear All I’m writing to you to ask a suggestion regarding new TS4. I want to buy it but I have doubts about LE or CE.
I’m sure I will sell it in 1 year because usually I move my collection to obtain last title from Stern and JJP.
What do you think about selling opportunity? Is better LE or CE?
I see they have difference only about color and topper. What is the hype? TS4 is a good title or you suggest to think about other title?
Thank you in advance.

Like most games if you try to sell it while they are available in NIB you'll take a loss , but once they are gone you should be alright .
Wonka's sat for ages but now you can't get them for less than msrp .
Toy Story does have a high starting point , it will be interesting to see what happens .

#2112 51 days ago

Ts4 is a lot of fun period, have you played it? I love my le but you can get a ce for what I paid for my le so no brainer if you can find one,Tim Allen custom call outs with Tom hanks bro and he does a fine job as his brother,I love the carnival theme with full assets ,so it does not have a crane toy but the duke jump is always fun with Keanu Reeves, price was a big issue with folks displeasure but now is mute and I really love tiki party.I have mine set up hard with sudden death.

Get a deal on a ce. Resale will be better for the topper alone. I love mine.

I have 1 slink dog mod left ready to ship. I traded away toy story, so I will no longer be producing the slink dog mod as I need the machine to do so. Its available at Loganpinball.com. Once sold thats it and the website will show if its still available.
Thanks for all who purchased the mod.

Got around to stopping by my parents and picking up the printed manual and poster for the rules. My dad works in printing, so was able to get it done for free. A lot nicer to read the manual when not on my phone!

Hi all. We have a TS4 CE. I noticed something weird. In attract mode, the left lock post will trigger randomly (going down then back up). Has anyone seen this happen to theirs? Thanks in advance...

Same here. What's the best fix?

#2121 46 days ago

I wonder if when Toy Story 5 comes out if that will help to improve the price on these machines. I have the CE. I’m also hoping that Jersey Jack releases some patches. My game has quite a bit of bugs and glitches in the code. Some good patches would really help these machines out.

This was happening to me sporadically, but not often enough to watch until recently when it started going off every few seconds. When I did a switch test Lockup #3 (top) was firing with no balls locked. I ran the calibration under Tests-->Device Tests-->Left Lockup Test (instructions on the screen prompt you to hit left flipper and start to calibrate) and it seems to have fixed it for now.

I wasn't planning on selling them, it's just something I was able to get done after hours at my dad's work.

Here's my other current issue:

The gate by the upper-right flipper fails to set up the ball cleanly about 50% of the time for me. In some cases, it goes SDTM. Reading through the comments on this thread, others have adjusted the gate by bending it or by adjusting the kick-out strength from the Woody saucer, but in my opinion, a wider gate might be a better long-term solution.

As I was searching for solutions, I came across game photos from the Pinball Magazine launch announcement (https://www.pinball-magazine.com/?p=4528)

Anyone notice anything?

Lawlor!!

My gate looks like the bottom version. Did anyone's game ship with a gate like the one pictured on top? That's really what I want and what would help that upper flipper shot set up better.

Because these initial photos came directly from JJP as part of the press release, they must have at least considered a wider version.

Download the manual onto a USB and take it to a print shop .
Terrible decision by JJP to get rid of LTG and Butch .

First thing I would recommend checking is that your game is level. Use a digital level and ensure you are 0.0 side to side. This made a huge difference for me when troubleshooting that gate feeding ball to upper flipper.

#2131 45 days ago

I wonder, per chance, if someone would be gracious enough to tell me the height from the bottom of the TS4 cabinet to the peak of the head unit, with the head unit folded down?

I'm picking up my TS4 (purchased from another Pinsider) this weekend, and have only 31 inches of headroom clearance in my vehicle. I can pull a trailer, if needed, but prefer not to (if it will fit in the car).

My sincerest appreciation, in advance, for that height information. Can't wait to go to the Carnival!

You’ll need 30 1/2 inches clearance

Game is level and set to a 6.7 percent incline.

Anyone have the issue where when duke caboom moves on the topper it cuts power to the topper and no longer works until the next time you power off/on the machine. Sometimes I get lucky and it stays on until I hit the jump ramp but it ends with the topper turning off after duke moves. All the screws look fine and tight. I can’t find anything that looks off. Very weird!

I'm in the middle of having issues with topper too. Been working with JJP techs on multiple fixes. Latest is they are sending me a power cable to use another available power source to plug into. You might want to reach out to them too.

So I might be joining this club soon. I've not really been following this game, but I am curious to know if code is pretty much final or if there is more to come?

Thanks!

Update: I received a revised power cable for the topper. After connecting, topper works 100% again. So, apparently the normal connection to power was not good and tapping off the LED strip power cable fixed the problem.

Mine is the bottom version and set up a perfect roll down the flipper every time, I have yet to see a sdtm from there . Check if you are level side to side on the Pf. My pitch is set steep though , touch bible 3rd line but I don’t think that will make much difference.

I adjusted the Gabby Gabby head since it wasn't registering like stated in the earlier post. But unfortunately now it is registering but her nose keeps getting dirty very easily. Has everyone else had the same issue?

Also it's really hard to hit the skill shoot. Is that just the way it is, or do I need to adjust something?

Thanks.
