Quoted from Tiltbob:

That’s great. Could you share a picture of your sound settings when you have a chance. I’m sure to mess it up if I try it without some help

Honestly its nothing too crazy. Just cranked up the left side to increase bass, pulled down the middle and then increased some of the high faders. I really didn't go crazy with trying to dial it in just yet.

Quoted from Padrino:

They made the point as well that distros get them first, found that out when I called trying to understand how

Had to do the same here, needed to shim the shooter assembly to get it to hit the ball well and stop hitting the auto plunger, seems like the shooter was machined with the wrong angle.

I’ve had every JJP except DI and the auto plunge needed adjusting in every one- until now with ts4. Glad to see most (not all clearly) are only requiring minor adjustments. I’ve had some rough gorounds with multiple manufacturers but sometimes luck if draw- I’ve had to do basically nothing with TS4. Very grateful for finally a plug and play!

Haven’t had many people over year but this def will be a hit. My wife has played 59 games on TS4 already which is more than last two years combined. Def approachable and also fun

Ey guys, read the posts but didnt find the answer. My spinning wheel starts to (calibrate?) when I power on my game, when it finishes, it stops. Tests ok, in game everything is fine and where it should, and this is not happening everytime, just when it stays off a while, if I do a power cycle, it just do as always, like 2 or 3 loops and stops. Any clue? Cant find what could be wrong! Thanks!

I noticed that after updating to the latest version (1.09) my "Take a chance" wheel spins two or three times as sort of a self calibration. This only happens once on boot. Then it's only active during gameplay.

Any CE shooter rods available for sale?

#1362 11 months ago

Ken at JJP is a great help I have had to call him numerous times about issues with my new toy story 4 LE I finally got all the issues worked out so I can enjoy the game now

Does anyone know how to begin Gaby Gaby multiball?

I’ve got 450 plays without getting it one time lol; keep n mind I’m a brand new player to pinball.

Thank you !

You get it by smacking her in the face during her hurry ups. There are quite a few different ways to trigger her hurry ups, some examples are completing a duke jump, hitting a target during Gabby Gabby frenzy, performing loops, etc...

Each time you do smack her you'll see a letter fill in her name on screen. When you finish spelling her name, you start Gabby Gabby Multiball. With default settings, this requires 5 hits to trigger the multiball the first time. The number of hits required increases after the first multiball.

#1364 11 months ago

Concerning Gabby Gabby does it register constantly when hit? Mine didn’t and was adjusted by my tech when he was working on other things.
After adjusting I get it often enough.

It needs so many registered hits to spell Gabby Gabby then you get multi ball.

#1365 11 months ago

Wow thanks for the info I wonder if my Gaby Gaby isn’t working correctly as I hit her and it doesn’t spell out a letter of her name I’ll have the tech look at it when he comes in 2 weeks…

Do you mind explaining Gaby Gaby frenzy to me; it lights on the wheel then I hit the right ramp and nothing happens ???

I am not regretting buying this blindly what an amazing game

#1366 11 months ago

Absolutely loving this game and it’s been a huge hit in our house. Can someone explain how tickets work? You collect tickets from ramps. First game is free, but after that can you use tickets to cycle games? I noticed pressing the left flipper cycles through carnival games sometimes.

Are more games available to select based on how many tickets you have collected?

Would also be nice to have an option to pick what game you want to play at the up post on the left ramp. This gives you time to pick, but may slow down the flow. Good as an option on/off.

Also, what modes of play use the cross over wireform. I feel that this does not get used enough. It feels so good when you can hit the left ramp, divert to cross over wire form and hit the left ramp again. Love the flow completing the forky mode left ramp, jump, divert cross over wire form to scoop.

It does sound like something is off with your mech if you're hitting it when she is up and not getting any letters.

From my understanding, Gabby Gabby Frenzy is a timed mode whose main purpose is to help you progress towards Gabby Gabby Multiball.

Essentially, in the Gabby Gabby Frenzy mode, you hit a lit shot, such as the Forky Targets. Then Gabby Gabby pops up. Hit her, you get a letter in her name. Rinse and repeat, until you get enough letter to start Gabby Gabby Multiball.

I personally find it to be one of the worst awards on the wheel.

I do appreciate you explaining this to me !!!

Speaking of the wheel after 300 plays I’m starting to finally be able to hit the “left” target to get super x. It’s one of the hardest shots on the table for me but so rewarding;
I had no idea that left target could actually be hit….

As far as wheel goes that has to be my favorite ..

I’ll play this game for 2 hrs straight just practicing left target shots lol

Still not bored;

Does anyone know of any good mods worth it for this game ? The duke kaboom toy looks neat I may get me one

Shooting the Left or Right Ramps will earn you 10 tickets. Shooting the jump ramp will earn you 50.

At the start of the game, it seems to randomly assign the 12 carnival modes a different ticket price. As an example, if you have 100 tickets and haven't played any modes. Then you'll have around 4 modes to choose from. You can cycle through the modes by pressing the flippers. Hence, if you want to play Bottle toss, cradle the ball up on a flipper. Use the other flipper to go one past the mode you want, then make your shot, the flip to make the shot will put it back to the mode you want to play.

Another thing to note, the more expensive the ticket cost of the mode was, the more shots it'll take to complete. As an example, a 400 ticket bottle toss game will require 5 shots to complete, whereas a free bottle toss game will require 3. You are also given more time to complete the task.

The two modes I can think of that start off with the diverter are, Flip Ball & Ferris Wheel.

No problem.

That left target is quite a dangerous shot. Anytime you put side to side motion on the ball in this game, you're asking for those slings to drain you. I personally like the Warp Target shot at the back of the game from the left flipper. It a tight shot which makes it quite satisfying to hit.

The Art of Pinball does some top-notch mods, you can see a couple of their mods here:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/jjp-toy-story-4-sculpted-mods-by-the-art-of-pinball
https://littleshopofgames.com/product-category/the-art-of-pinball/

They have a few other mods they haven't announced yet for the game too, they've teased some of the other mods in the thread.

More questions...

I´ve realized the equalizer is not in my menu but it appears in the instruction manual, any clue on this?

BTW, my left ramp is getting my balls OK (it starts modes, it registers shots in modes...) but I dont see that the tickets raise, do they raise while Im in a mode? Also, if I hit my left ramp REALLY fast, it doesnt register the ball, but this happened very few times with really fast shots.

Added 11 months ago:

EDIT: Havent happened again, dont know why. Still missing the equalizer.

I could be wrong, but I believe the Equalizer isn't in the latest software release of TS4 yet.

It's only in the latest Beta.

Which means it should be releasing soon for everyone else.

My TS4 arrived today but didn't come with a power cord. Does anyone know if this one from Best Buy pictured below will work?

Yes, any IEC plug will work. Same as your monitor, computer, etc.

Quoted from insight75:

Had a family gathering this weekend and TS4 was the big hit of my collection.
Few adjustments I made this weekend.... I have the beta code installed and adjusted the EQ so there is a good amount of bass (also lowered the mid). The sound is killer (with stock speakers). Also, I could not get the plunger to push the ball up the ramp so installed an orange spring. I also had to shim the shooter assembly so it would tilt down a touch to hit the ball square and to stop hitting the auto plunge arm. All is working perfect now.

Anyone know if JJP added the Equalizer to their GnR beta? It seems like a no brainer…

About 50 percent of the time when I turn on my ce the lcd screen on playfield doesn’t work and machine shows an error about it. The lights around the screen work but the screen doesn’t. Restarting the game 1 to 2 times fixes it. What can I do ?

#1386 10 months ago

Did you check the hdmi connector in the back of the tablet, maybe it’s loose.

I was having issues with my lcd and replacing the hdmi cable fixed everything I was having issues with ;

Screen wouldn’t lite would stay black and countless other errors

Reseat the HDMI connector to it and at the motherboard. If the motherboard has a video card on it, reseat it too. ( I don't have one to check ) Be sure they are in tight.

If that doesn't help, new HDMI cable next.

Received CE today and played with the family for a few hours. My initial impressions are very positive. This is my first JJP and the build quality seems very solid…the sucker is noticeably much heavier then Stern or Chicago. The decals really shine, almost like mirrors. The light show is unlike any other pin I have, including the topper. JJP messed up with pricing, but this game is fun. Shoots really well and the rules are very easy for the family to follow. The callouts really help to guide you.

I agree that the pricing is high.

That being said, the pricing is pretty comparable to Stern now.

Being as a Stern LE is $13000 and to add one of their toppers to that, you are looking at another $2000.

Agree - I think at current market price of 13k for a CE w/ topper the price is fair in comparison to Bond LE….but both are too high. Played some more this morning though and am really liking it. There is no way this game should be ranked anywhere near as low as it is even considering current market price.

Be sure game is level side to side. Playfield pitch at least 6 1/2 degrees.

If problem persists, check coil strength in Settings - Coils. Make one side a tiny bit weaker.

I don't know why JJP doesn't adjust the slings at offset power from the factory to prevent this. Also, it probably wasn't at the right pitch. This condition can be adjusted out.

All that said, 20V slings SUCK. JJP really needs to give them full power.

That's pretty good advice too LTG, but it's on location and aren't those location pins always set up perfectly???
