Quoted from beltking:

I get my TS4 CE tomorrow! Can't wait. I'm working with Cliffy on protectors so we should know here soon if it fits the shooter lane well.

Stream it! We haven't heard the CE callouts yet.

Already worked with him, but my last iteration seems to have been lost in the mail so I could never test final fit. Seems the GnR protectors should fit TS.

Nice work. Mine shipped today so likely receive early next week. Lower that coil power to the shooter lane until the Cliffy's are done!

Check your lockdown receiver bracket. Mine was bent down a bit bringing the auto launch down enough to interfere with the plunger. Once I bent it back to where it belonged, the plunger problem went away.

Yeah I ordered a bunch of stuff so I’m testing guns on the ts4 for him.

Got a picture of the piece? I spent more than an hour making adjustments in the plunger position with no luck! finally I manage to keep the plunger tip a lil bit down playing with the screws, and its a big difference when shooting, clean plunging now.

It's the playfield hooks. If you grab them with robogrip pliers or large vise grips and bend the hook down just a little, it raises the playfield a smidge so the shooter doesn't drag on the autolaunch. We had to do this on The Hobbit on route because the packed playfield would bend the hooks from the weight.

Received my ce. Now have to get it downstairs. Thank god for escalera dolly. Thing is heavy.

How do you keep it from marking up the carpet on your stairs?

Yes, you could bend the hooks, too. In my case, the receiver was bent down so much the playfield wouldn't drop in without a good shove. It was that tight. Once I bent the lockdown receiver up, the playfield fit as it should and the plunger was fine. Bending the hooks down is another way to do it.

As an aside, Hobbit has to be the most crowded playfield underside I have ever worked on. Never enjoyed working under there.

I have a bunch of videos I can cut together. Sucker is heavy. The guns and roses cliffy works fine there’s just and extra hole so he can leave that off. I couldnt get the light rail off to save my life. Really stuck on like glued. Not going to take it off and bust something. I’ve installed a lot of shooter protectors and that ones hard with the light rail.

It really does look nice! The only Cliffy's I'd be worried about on this game are slot protectors under the inlane drops - they dropped the ball directly on the slots again, which history has proven destroys them over time.

Can you post a video with some of the Annie Potts CE callouts?

Made a video on the CE unboxing and game play. Watch it here. Didn't spend a lot of time on editing like SDTM so it is what it is.

Only went off once so far when I did the jump later in the game. Doesn’t do it every time for some reason. LOVE this game so far. I like simply games I know what I’m shooting for.

Yep that is what makes Medieval Madness a classic…not very deep but easy to understand the goals…

Is it true that when you qualify the Gabby MB and are trying to shoot a shot to start it, the Benson Posts individually Pop Up randomly to block your shot with a weird sound effect? If so, that is a pretty unique mech that I don’t recall seeing discussed….

This is a mode, and it’s pretty cool (and annoying when it rejects a shot to SDTM)! For whatever reason, In any other machine than TS4, it would count as a mech!

I had all the inserts done except bo peep loops. Can someone tell me how to finish that? Can you dial down the amount you have to do in settings? Directions? So close

I’m still trying to figure it out. It seems like 3 consecutive loops or 20 total loops but after completing super spinner.

You can change the 20 number.

Picked up an LE and got it set up at home tonight, kids love it so far. Anyone had to adjust Gabby? Shots aren’t registering consistently.

Dropping $15k on a machine is a tough pill to swallow and I had some pre arrival regrets on the purchase - especially considering the post launch vibes - but after getting it I’m totally blown away and no regrets. Not sure it’s worth quite $4k over a stern LE but it’s a bute and after having it feels pretty close. There is just no way they can charge the same price, the build on this is on another level.

As far as gameplay goes, it’s def got the challenge level I’m looking for. I love GZ but will be lucky if I every to get the major wizard modes, don’t mind having a machine where I can get there a bit more often.

Super cool it came with side art protectors. A nice touch.

Looking forward to a code update to address how confusing Bo peeps scene is. It’s less an issue that it’s hard, it’s more an issue that the circumstances to get it are confusing and also when you hit 3 loops and it doesn’t register its heart breaking.

I enjoy being in the club with a CE.

I cranked up the flipper power and the pin plays very well although the right side is a drain monster for me.

Unfortunately my Duke wheel topper came slightly scuffed. Has anyone had any experience in replacing it? I thought I would ask before I start tearing it apart. JJP sent me the replacement wheel but no instructions on how to replace.

Thanks for any help.

Close off the right drain. You can move out the posts but it’s a pain.

#940 1 year ago

Spoke with JJP today had to order some parts. BTW a replacement Gabbi head is $31 plus shipping. My rules card was cracked so they are shipping a new one.

Anyways they have the parts coming in for the next game now so it will be sooner than later. He also said they have three total games in the works and going through testing. I mentioned Elton John and he said we shall see.

CE has arrived. Love it when he pallet jack is too wide for these weird pallets and you have to balance them the entire way off the truck and in to the driveway. Not too big a deal but wondering why they use these pallets.

IMG_0626 (resized).JPGIMG_0626 (resized).JPG

#942 1 year ago

Because they can get more on a truck going international if pallet is smaller.

#943 1 year ago

I played the game Wednesday night when my friend got his CE and I helped him set it up, then made a trade deal on Thursday for a LE to spend Friday driving to make it happen. Got it set up Saturday and then watched the movie for the first time Sunday...............so just wondering could we change the title of this thread to "We Are All Trash....." just gonna throw that out there

Quoted from beltking:

The way it was explained to me is ... you pay for the footprint on freight. So the smaller the pallet the cheaper to ship. If you use, say, a 4' x 4' pallet you're paying more as that pallet is taking up more footprint in the truck. Doesn't matter what the size of the item is on the pallet.

Not saying what you stated isn't accurate as, obviously, the smaller the pallet the more you can jam into a shipping container.

#946 1 year ago

The pallet is not small. It is bigger than the ones stern uses. You will see the way its constructed it won't fit standard size pallet jack forks. That's what's weird about it.

Anyway, I really like the game. Having a blast with it so far. No issues out of the box except a sensitive sling switch. Easy fix....

Usually pallets don’t have the extra support structure 8” in from each side. That’s probaly why the pallet Jack doesn’t fit

You can change the 20 number.

I’m still fuzzy on this. So you light super loops on the wheel then hit the inner loop to start super loops. Do you need to hit 3 consecutive or 20 all while the wheel is resting on super loops? So if you hit 19 loops then mistakenly hit the captive ball and move the wheel, do you need to start over?

So if you hit 19 loops then mistakenly hit the captive ball and move the wheel, do you need to start over?

So I’ve learned the screen does tell you what’s up when you hit the loops. So keep that in mind…

The only way to even have a chance to qualify the Bo Peep scene is to start super loops from the wheel (started by hitting a loop when on that wheel section).

Once you start super loops you are on your path, even if it’s timer expires or you lose your ball.

Side note: Super spinners is a different thing - totally confusing.

Before you start super loops you’ll see that hitting a loop says “start super loops” when you hit the loops.

After you have started super loops it will count down on the screen for each successful loop, I think from 15 (this is adjustable) hitting all 15 qualifies the Bo Peep scene.

If you do 3 consecutive loops while attempting the 15 you are qualified AND you complete the scene which gives you a multiplier in MMATC.

You can also change the consecutive loop requirement -which I don’t recommend - cause it’s lame

#950 1 year ago

Added a T Rex. This is from the other “cake topper” kit. Mounting him is a bit tricky. I did a platform out of clear plastic and some screws.
