Trying to figure out a problem with a 95 Who Dunnit.

Shopped it for a friend, played perfectly afterward, needed to remove the head to get it in the space he wanted, documented with photos all connector positions, double checked them after reassembly, but game won't boot. D19 stays solid and D20 doesn't flash.

Line voltage is good at 123V. I plan to reseat U4, U6 and U9 on the CPU. Will try removing all cables but J210 to see if it boots and check the the voltage at TP 2.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Make sure the ribbon cables are not installed one pin off...

Start with triple checking everything you touched while removing/replacing the head. Then move on to advice in the Pinwiki: https://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Williams_WPC#LEDs_on_the_MPU

Yup check ribbon cables . It’s easy to be off by a pin or just miss something .

Thanks for your input and help.

Turned out to be definitely one and possibly two things. First, I had replaced one of the ends of one of the ribbon cables in a reversed position. That is the definite. Second, the U4 chip may have wiggled a little loose from the bumping of the move as one end could be pushed in just a bit.

Case Closed.
