This reminds me an incident that happened 20+ years ago. I spent many hours completely shopping a nice woodrail that I planned to sell. A local guy pestered me for a week with "lowball" offers for the game and took way too much of my time playing the game at my house. I finally agreed to lower my price to get him to buy the game and leave me alone! A couple of days after delivering the game to his house, the phone rings and he tells me that it isn't working! I make the 45 minute drive to his house and discovered that he had sprayed a heavy layer of WD-40 over EVERYTHING beneath the playfield. I asked why he did that and his reply was that he wanted to "oil" the game to make it play well! I spent a couple of hours cleaning contacts to get the game to play again and told him his warranty was OVER and to never call me again! To this day, I can't stand the smell of WD-40.
