An old trick, you have an older car with distributor and point. Moisture somehow gets under the distributor cap and the engine won't fire. Open the distributor and spray WD-40 inside. Replace the distributor cap and it will run perfect. So WD-40 will remove the moisture and will not conduct electricity is my reasoning here.

You boys need to start four wheelin in old Subarus. I used to go in my 84 wagon. Kept up with the Toyota's and jeeps all day. I'd have that thing above the headlights in water and never sputter. All stock. I still have a 78 Brat.
