I had been having issues with my WCS and I thought it was related to a bad MPU. I didn't have a spare on hand so it was a good opportunity to get another one. I got a brand new Rottendog MPUSEC and populated it with an NVRAM, new coprocessor, new ASIC, and pulled the old ROM from the original WPC-S MPU and put that in.

When I put the new MPUSEC in, the game threw three beeps and nothing. Top and bottom LEDs were solid, middle LED was blank on the MPU.

I guess I must have blown F106 because that was dead so I replaced it. Reseated all ribbon cables going to and from the MPUSEC.

Now I get one beep and the goalie starts going back and forth, a bunch of the insert lights are on, but nothing else.

I'm feeling a bit out of my depth here, what'd I blow up this time?

PinballManiac40 sorry for the delay, here's a few pictures, hopefully this sheds some light on the problem:

Quoted from DumbAss:

It also just dawned on me that you could just pull out U22 and try to power on. The CPU should start and the LEDs should blink correctly. The display should show "U22 Error" as it's not able to communicate with the security PIC. This should help isolate if the problem is from the ASIC to the CPU to the EPROM (U8) before even needing to involve U22.

When I pull U22 and boot I get one normal bootup beep, but the display shows static.
