WCS Goalie moves only in middle of goal

Just got a WCS, but goalie only moves back and forth in middle of goal. He doesn't move to the far right or left like he is suppose to. Anyone have picture of underneath on how the metal bar that moves back and forth is connected to the metal bar connected to the goalie? Mine is not connected and seems to move the goalie by friction. Are they soldered together? I don't see anyway that they are connected via screw/bolt. Or is friction suppose to be enough to move goalie all the way to right and left?

As I recall, there is a spring that is attached between the two pieces.

I see the spring and it seems to be attached correctly.
