Hi all,

I’m having some issues with my WCS94 and hoping someone can assist.

Firstly in the testing menu, the trough tastings 1-5 and trough stack keeps moving between closed and open (very quickly) when there are no balls in the trough.

When there are balls in it, the test shows open. This seems to be the reverse of what is should be? Closed when balls in the trough and open when it’s empty? (Video should be uploaded soon).

Secondly, when the machine is powered on balls keep getting ejected until all balls have been removed and put back in. From there all is ok until the machine is turned on and off again and then the same issue occurs.

I have investigated the opto transmitter and leds look ok with the camera and each of the receiver optos register open when balls break the IR transmission.

I have resoldered the opto receiver board and have checked the cables to and from the GLM receiver board.

Optos and boards have also been cleaned.

Any ideas?

Measure the regulated 12V on the driver board.
This 12V used for opto processing might be low.
This might be caused by a leaky cap at C2 on the driver board.

Optos may have cracked solder joints and are now mis aligned. Doesn't the GLM board have a test feature to help identify where the problems may be?

thanks Chris and everyone for the quick response.

I have tested the 12v output from the driver board (F-116 + 12v secondary).
And the output was 10.5v....

I also blew the fuse by accident and replaced the 3amp 250v fuse was replaced with a 4amp 250v and still the same reading (as expected).

I saw c2, it looks ok? (As per pic below).

Considering this is across all optos and the low voltage? should I be looking at the driver board as the problem? Any other further tests I can do? Reflow the solders perhaps?

Thanks so much for the help, I’m a noob and learning every day
