Hi Everyone,

I've had my WCS '94 for over 10 years now, and while the cabinet is in very good shape, it has started to fade over the years even with the room blinds closed! Darn UV...

Having said that, I know there have been some rumbling of replacement cabinet decals for this game. I understand there may be some licensing issues with FIFA.

Having just gotten back into the hobby, I'd like to know...

A) Who are the big players in repro cabinet decals?

and

B) Are you interested in cabinet decals for your game?

Thanks,

Chris

Don't have WCS yet but plan to at some point in the future so I hope you can get something worked out.

One thing I thought would be cool but not sure if I'm on my own on this is that I thought it would be cool if a company made modded cab decals for pins. I like the originals of most pins but I think that several could use some updating. Would be nice to see something like that take off. I think WCS and BOP would be good candidates for newly created decals that mirror the originals just with some better artwork.

Thanks, yeah that might not be a bad avenue to check out either.

Having been out of the hobby so long, I'm not sure who the big players are for repro decals....

Need to check with Planetary Pinball. Rick at BAA got the rights from the Pinball Factory a year or two ago, he has done well in getting new products out(still waiting on I500 decals though).

Thanks, this is really helpful. If we can at least get a list going, that would be great. Thank you for the info! I will post back in a couple of days once I get in touch with Rick.

Please go through Rick. I know first hand that he was getting ready to do the BSD decals and some yahoos got the bright idea to make their own. He put BSD on the back burner.

If he put BSD decals out people would buy them.

Yup, digging this one up. Add me to the list. Just out of curiosity, would alternate cab artwork be considered sacreligous? I am a graphic designer, I might see what I can get worked up.

I'd probably be more interested in new decals. Although originals would work too.

Hi Folks,

I never heard back from Rick so I never got any traction on this -- I'd be game for new decals if they look good! Does anyone know Rick who might be able to help us out?

Any movement on this? Put me down for one if it happens.
Thanks

FWIW I am having good luck using a yellow prisma color marker. Even up close it is hardly even noticeable that is a marker. If you never knew to begin with you would never guess it.

WOW that looks great! Prisma is the brand of the marker? Is the color "Sunburst Yellow" ?

I believe Prisma is the "type" of marker. My wife draws with them.

Yes Prisma Color is the brand. Canary Yellow is the color. These are the regular markers, not the paint markers, I was afraid to try those as I thought they might not be as transparent.

Just a note, you will need to spray clear over the marker to keep it from rubbing off.

#19 7 years ago

who sells the markers and what type of clear do you use. it looks great I want to try it

Great info Gov, thank you so much for sharing. That color matches almost identical to the non-faded side of my WCS's cabinet, so I think you hit a near spot-on match!!

Hobby Lobby or Michael's sells them or any art supply store. I just use Krylon Satin clear.
