I just want to say I enjoy following these discussions even though 50% of what is being discussed is lost on me. Kudos to those whom enjoy this aspect of pinball!

Back in the 90s I did some limited reverse engineering of Chrysler 85 to 91 ECMs. Just enough to tune them though others went further by adding various features. Real stone age stuff doing work with hex editors and calculating tables with Lotus 1 2 3.
The actual tuning was were I shined, I crammed the software in my head because it was a necessary evil to get where I wanted to go.
