I love that show. Looking forward to seeing your episode. Congrats for making it on!

    #4 8 years ago

Congratulations Brad. Could not be happier for you and the team. I can attest firsthand how hard the team has worked to get this far. Great products, customer service, innovation, hard work and determination pays off. The VPCabs virtual pins are without a doubt the best product in the virtual sector and the latest offering 'Vertigo' is no different. It looks and plays amazing. It certainly went down a hit in Texas with the customers and your peers.

    Keep it up team VPCabs.

The VPCabs guys are hilarious and a blast to hang out with. Couldn't have happened to a better crew. Congrats guys !

    #6 8 years ago

    ^^^Yeah, what he said!

    #7 8 years ago

Way to go Brad! I'm excited and happy for you.

    #9 8 years ago

Great job Brad and company. I wish you even great success with this news. Great stuff!

Hm, this will be interesting to see what/if they ask in regards to the emulation content for these machines and the legality of such. I really like Shark Tank, but don't have a desire to see businesses in our community get torn a new one for them to sell some ads.

*Edit* If this is another stupid April 1st joke...

Even if it's not April Fools, the show is fake anyway.

No one's ass will actually be torn.

Right......but do the majority of viewers buy it?

I know a few people who were on it. They were all offered and accepted during the show, but no deal was actually struck, and that is the most common scenario. Most businesses are not going to give up a controlling interest in their company, which is often the case. There have been a few successes, typically when the sharks take a smaller position, but, that is clearly the exception to the rule. Obviously most go on the show more for the exposure than the money.

I can assure you that the show is not fake in any way.

Good to see Brad and VPCabs get some exposure. We had opportunity to meet Brad at Texas Pinball Festival. Great guy, great product and he does not push sales, his product sells itself. Three of us ordered custom Vertigo cabs. Hope to see them next week.

Yeah, a pretty bad day to make an announcement. Congratulations?

My coworker was on it and said that had she been chosen, Sony and ABC Television would have been equity partners in her business, not those goofy "investors". She still has the contract.

She also said that the "investors" all had earpieces and were being fed the questions. When she asked about it, the producers said that was the only way to keep the show interesting.

Mark Cuban has said in interviews that the producers instruct him to make the guests cry.

Well that would be pretty easy to confirm or not simply by watching the show.

That is no longer the case. There's a few decent articles about the changes they made after season 5 I believe.

Awesome Brad! Glad to see this is going to happen. Can't wait to watch!

    #22 8 years ago

When everyone on that show is aiming for a $19.99 price point I can't wait to see their reactions to a (virtual) pinball.

    #23 8 years ago

    We're getting ready!!

    When's the show airing?

Do they send you a DVD of the entire taping, or just the edited section that gets aired?

I'd love to see all the coverage.

My coworker said she was supposed to get a hardcopy, but they never sent it to her.

Seems very unlikely you would get the raw footage, but I don't work at that level.

    #27 8 years ago

Congrats! I look forward to seeing you guys again at Pintastic NE. Maybe by then you'll have a large sign showing " As seen on Shark Tank".

I was on a show (not sharks) and got several camera angles of the entire shoot + the edited reel.

I wish they would. Lots of great info/advice that may not make the cut. I doubt they will though.

Hey I remember that when DVD first "came" out

    #32 8 years ago

Congrats, VPcabs! Seems like our pinball booths are co-located at every show I attend so I will be telling the "I knew them back when..." stories when you hit it big!

One of my 7th grade students was on the Tank two or three years ago. Cuban and the real estate lady bought in. She's a 9th grader now, and she's made enough money to buy a big horse ranch (at central coast of California prices) and a whole lot more. Cuban still stays in touch and helps her out. The funny thing was, she and her mom weren't going to ask for any money; they just wanted mentoring. The producers didn't realize that until the last minute before the taping, and made them come up with a number to ask for right as they walked in.

    #39 8 years ago

Congratulations man! So happy for you guys. I really hope it turns out to be a great experience and a profitable one also. This could not have happened to better folks. See you at the next show!

Now this is gonna be worth watching and I'm very interested in seeing what your proposal is...20% for half mil???

    #41 8 years ago

If you can share, how much of what we will see is going to be jokes about how they thought pinball was dead etc. I'm cringing already at what kind of banter the hosts would come up with for our little niche

I bet the Sharks will argue over if pinball is a sport....

Hopefully all goes well for you, you make some great products

    #44 8 years ago

Hopefully the term "pinball wizard" is used.

Dumb ass show. A few neck bolts short of being Frankenstein there Cuban...........use some deodorant while you are at it.

+1, I picked up a vertigo machine at the Ohio Pinball Show, gotta say, we love it. Cant wait to see the show. best of luck.

    #48 8 years ago

I can't wait until you drop the $8k model on them and everyone goes "Whoa what! I can't sell this at Target!" then dramatic music plays like that was a faux pas. Also looking forward to the term pinball wizard being overused and them exaggeratedly nudging the machine for no reason. Congrats on that primetime exposure regardless of whether they decide to rip you apart

    #49 8 years ago

I wonder if any of the sharks would have bought J-pop's pitch.

That "Q-Flex" massager thing has been around for many years. I bought a Thera-cane 5 years ago and I've seen them back as far as 2004. Now there are about 10 or so knock-offs alone on Amazon. I don't know how she could possibly say that "her product" didn't already exist or that she invented a cheap hard plastic body massager?
