    Quoted from o-din:

I wonder if any of the sharks would have bought J-pop's pitch.

doubtful... they generally use common sense and also some due diligence.

Could you just imagine if one had? I'd love to see that episode of "Beyond the Tank".

I hope you get a great deal. We will be all "praying" for it.

If those "investors" really bought in on Poopaduce, they would have had the discipline that Poop does not.

Cuban: What are we working on this week?
Poop: I'm making the best hinge the pinball world has ever seen! Totally custom!
Cuban: It's not like those spike headed bolts you took a month to design, is it?
    Poop: Yes!
Cuban: F that. Just use an industry standard hinge. In fact, I've brought in a consultant to streamline this whole thing. From now on, you ONLY work on the actual design of the playfield and oversee the art.
    Poop: But I want a....
Cuban: This thing hits market by the end of the year, or I'll sell it all to Stern for $1.

    Quoted from DefaultGen:

I can't wait until you drop the $8k model on them and everyone goes "Whoa what! I can't sell this at Target!" then dramatic music plays like that was a faux pas. Also looking forward to the term pinball wizard being overused and them exaggeratedly nudging the machine for no reason. Congrats on that primetime exposure regardless of whether they decide to rip you apart

Ahh but we have analog nudging/tilt. You can shake the machine and the ball moves!!

Cuban: Great. Now who is going to do your manufacturing this time, since Williams has been gone 20 years?

    #62 3 years ago

It's all in good fun. Well, for some...

Yes, but by that logical they would have fired Jack from JJP a long time ago as well....

Don't start dragging common sense business practices into pinball, the results won't be pretty....

Here's hoping you got someone to reskin a game to be based off the hosts. Mr. Wonderful in place of Rudy on Funhouse. I'm sure that could help land you a deal.

    #66 3 years ago

It will be interesting to see if any game maker (real pinball or virtual) can convince

the sharks to do what most of us would scoff at now.

Nah, gonna be a piece of cake.

The sharks love sports equipment, and really, thats all a pinball machine is.... you know, since pinball is a sport now...

    #68 3 years ago

That didn't want that one ladies sports/health drink though. Did you see the look on their faces when they tasted it? That was golden.

I hope you told Mister Wonder Dick to go F himself!

I'd love to go on that show just to counter punch him

I've seen him many times spouting his BS on CNBC.

    Man has a checkered past

I could see Mark wanting to do a deal for all of his movie theatres. I can guess what you were asking for a deal for:

$150,000 and a pallet of mixed Shasta for a 30% stake?

Looks like fun-Can't wait to watch!

If Mr. Wonderful tells you No-Then tell him he is dead to me!

What if Jack took JJP to the Sharks?

    Quoted from vid1900:

What if Jack took JJP to the Sharks?

Jack: OK, sharks, heres the deal: I've hired several of my associates from the local horse-racing track and we're building a company.
    Mark: Wait, you did what?
Barbara: Mark, stop, let him finish.
Jack: Yeah, we're building a pinball company.
Damon: I know a little about this space, thats going to take MILLIONS to get up and running, you're not asking for enough money.
Mark: Exactly, you've vastly underestimated your capital needs.
Jack: hehe, heres the cool part: We're going to make the customers prepay fully for their machines.... so THEY will front all the costs.
Jack: And, we'll ship them whenever we're ready, no contract, no firm delivery commitment.
Robert: But how long do you think it will take to deliver the first machines?
Jack: No idea. No idea at all.
Mark: Wait, people arent going to accept that if they are fronting you thousands of dollars.
Jack: Hehe, well obviously we won't TELL them that. I'll quote like a year, then just keep bumping it out 6 months at a time.
Mark: So, the client takes all the risk, you have no downside and very little accountability to it?
    Jack: Yes.
    Mr Wonderful: I like it.

    #83 3 years ago

    LMFAO!!!!!

    #84 3 years ago

Actually, Kevin (aka Mr Wonderful) would have come back with a abusive royalty deal at the end, but you get the idea

btw, Im a big Shark Tank fan... it's the only "reality tv" i can watch.

I hope your gonna post a link to your segment for those that can't watch at air time. I'm hoping they fight over you and the deal keeps getting sweeter and sweeter.

I cant wait BRAD is a cool guy and great asset to pinball

    #90 3 years ago

Congrats and hoping it's a huge success!

    #91 3 years ago

    Shake and bake baby !

    #92 3 years ago

Congrats on getting a deal. Did it actually go through? What happened after the show?

    #93 3 years ago

Congratulations very cool to see you got a deal.

    #94 3 years ago

It looked like the sharks had no idea of what the new pinball scene is like and Brad should have presented that aspect better. I couldn't believe 4 of them dropped out so fast, I thought there would have been a bidding war between at least 2 of them. But congrats on the deal Brad....now go sell, sell, sell.

    #96 3 years ago

    Congrats!

I liked how you really came at them in the end.

    -

So did you actually get that cash, or did it fall apart after the taping?

    Congrats!

I just noticed you have https://www.vpcabs.com/ listed as your website on Pinside. That site appears to be down.

I also found https://virtualpinball.com/ with a websearch and it appears to be up. Is your Pinside profile in need of updating?

    #98 3 years ago

Be careful posting the outcome....I got 'spanked' for doing so on a separate post. I will now go back to my 'stand in the corner punishment!' : )

A friend was on shark tank a few seasons ago... You DONT agent the money (or the deal) right away. After the verbal deal, they often spend months doing dur diligence on the deal.

So I'd expect them to pour over vpcabs books, research for themselves the real market size, competition, etc.

I think only about 50% of the deals you see on tv go through....

Depending on how long ago the episode was taped, they may or may not have finalized it all.
