Watching. Such a cool game, great soundtrack. Ball times our so short, operators will love this game. If Spooky would be building this I'm interested in buying one.

    Me too

    #4 7 years ago

That game is awesome hope someone makes it. Great tunes

    #5 7 years ago

So rad, but that dude in the banana hammock elevates things to a whole 'nother level

    #6 7 years ago

    My favorite homebrew game evar.

    #7 7 years ago

Interesting game--it sure plays really fast.

I watch till the stream crached. Interesting comment from Charlie of Spooky Pinball: adding a ramp to such a game would add $100 to the bill of material, but when the game doesn't have a ramp people expect it to be $1000 cheaper which isn't the case. Here I was hoping this could be a $2500 game built from mainly standard parts... Maybe as a kit?

    #9 7 years ago

Game is awesome . Looking at the underside you will realize the game would be quite expensive to produce .

I think at this point, in 2017, with all the companies in the market, if there was a way to make "cheap pinball" it would be done. I think that's impossible. The Stern $4k Spiderman seems to be as low as things are going to go. Not from greed, just from the reality of such complex machines and such small production runs.

I do want to say that the game does look very cool and unique. Hats off to Scott on the achievement, and the music is really cool.

The game does seem very random and brutal at times. I wonder because of the cool Ball Save led insert, whether more Ball Save rules could be added to the game, to help make up for the brutal bounces. I'd love to play it some day.

    #12 7 years ago

    Hey Scott
    Great job!

That is a nice design! Looking forward to playing at TPF!

This game is awesome and it keeps getting better, don't fuck it up Scott

Brutal is kind of the point though. It's like a modern Flash Gordon, it beats you up and you want more, and when you have a good game it's really satisfying.

Nice, didnt know it was going to be at TPF. Cant wait to check it out.

I should think one of the big reasons that players over-value ramps in terms of raw cost is down to game flow. As soon as you put a ramp in there, the whole style, structure and dynamic of a game instantly changes around it. It's not impossible to create decent flow without a ramp, but it does become considerably more difficult. This game seems to have pulled it off quite well, it doesn't look too bare, and I love how the in-lines are used as ball locks.

Great job Scott! Excellent on all levels!

I love how 2 $50 ramps make the perceived value of a new game go from $2500 to $5000+.
This game has an LCD screen AND individual scoring displays. The cost to do this is more than the cost of 2 ramps.
Basic game BOM costs from a *stripped down* playfield to a *toy filled* playfield are about $300.
Take note Scott; glue a couple plastic nuclear towers and a duck on your playfield, add 2 ramps, and charge $8000.
    Terry.

Conversation in another thread was discussing build your own kits.

I would love to build this game. Would be a great project, and Scott is a great ambassador for Pinball. Have used his mods and has always been helpful with tech help on my BOP 2.0.

BOM it out, send me the parts and a bill bro...

what is a realistic purchase price on this game? I am easily in at 6k! 6500 even seems more than fair!

I would be shocked if this game could be made for that (once finished) without some serious cost cutting happening.

So, when can I buy one?
    Thanks

I'm very impressed with this machine from concept to execution. Well done. Love the light show. I especially like the wave effect that comes off each hit of the pop bumper.

Skip the ramps. Yours is a modern take of the single level table era where some of my favorite machines come from. Firepower, Meteor, Black Hole, Spirit, Spectrum etc., and nobody is building pins in that space.

    #40 7 years ago

Great videos. Game looks ace. Love the creative light shows and coding. That single pop bumper is amazing, and the locking drop targets are ingenious. Hope to see it at TPF.
