    Powerzone,

Unfortunately, the police and BBB will be a waste of energy. Your best bet is to work with the Department of Consumer Affairs in Ocean County, NJ.

It may take some time, but they will prove to be your best ally here.

    Regards,
    Mike

    Quoted from Powerzone:

    WOW!
Thank you all for your support!
Did several phonecalls to Horrormike! No answer.
Had a phonecall with my Bank here. They told me, I can demand my money back. But his Bank will not give it out, without consent from the owner. So it will not work.
With that answer from my Bank I was not satisfied and after further discussion and research she told me that I have made this transaction by SWIFT, thats a SWIFT-transaction and there exists some international rules for it.
So I have to go to my local policedepartment and "tell them the case" (sorry, I am not able to explain it better, because my english language). They will give me a for/confirmation, which I have to bring to my Bank. My Bank will than get in contact with the Bank from Horrormike. And it will not be so easy for him to explain what was going on, especially when I am not the only one who does that!!

I don't think any of that will work.

If you haven't already done so please contact Ocean County Consumer Affairs via email.

    Quoted from inhomearcades:

doubt that will happen. I have been screwed with wire transfers before and short of a court order, I don't think they would do anything. Your time is best spent going through proper local US channels. I sent an email to mike as well stating the support for international sellers has pushed me away from using his site. I have gotten him on the phone about a year ago and may try to call him as well.

    Quoted from Powerzone:

    Dear all
A few weeks ago, I was very motivated to bring mad to justice.
But now, I dont know, the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs is not answering me.
At the moment I have no plan how to go on.
    Just to speak it out.
    regards
    Christian

I would send a certified letter to -

    Department of Consumer Affairs
    Stephen Scaturro, Director
    1027 Hooper Avenue, Bldg 2
    Toms River, NJ 08754

Make sure to include your address, phone number and email address.

BBB is a complete waste of time.

Contact the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs at (732) 929-2105. You can also reach them via email at [email protected]

If Consumer Affairs in Toms River picks this up, he is going to start feeling some pain.

    #409 8 years ago
    Quoted from Angyalpor:

    Guys, be serious.
This guy cheats a lot people outside US.
Not one, not two. A lot. That's a fact.
So, anybody can decide, make business with this guy, or not.
    Conscience, honor.

I think it has gotten serious.

If Consumer Affairs takes this on, he is looking at 25K in fines in addition to paying back all of the customers he stole from.

    Quoted from MrBally:

All the posters who was threatened has to do is call the local police and press charges.

    He should.

I believe I have two possible street addresses and phone numbers for Mike Ducker in NJ. I won't post it on the forum, but will provide it via PM to whomever is following up with Consumer Affairs in Toms River.

    #425 8 years ago
    Quoted from beelzeboob:

Hey Mike...you wanna meet up, go over to his house, put a lit bag of poop on his porch, and ring the bell?

Sure, but I'm too slow and fat so I'm certain to get caught.

    Quoted from Pinpast:

So Mike Ducker is still at it?
Is MAD amusements still at 990 cedar ridge ave in brick NJ 08723
or is Mike at the excel plaza in the Lakewook industrial park in Lakewood NJ 08701?
    He seems hard to find.

I believe he lives in Toms River, NJ.

    Quoted from Mesmerism:

    Shipping address:
    MAD Amusements
    501 Prospect St.
    Unit 106-A
    Lakewood, NJ 08701
I even used his ups account.
Is this his business license: 0600343450 Mad & Mike Associates LLC? Was poking around NJ Secretary of State, but getting business records costs a couple of $.

That is just off of Route 9 in Lakewood, NJ.

    Quoted from sturner:

I feel it's less likely that someone figured out how to consistently beat the lottery system and more likely it's a way to launder stolen money from international people. People have been using fixed odd betting machines for decades to clean up dirty money.

It is inevitable that he will screw with the wrong guy at one point.

It is just a matter of when.

    Quoted from sohchx:

Just bumping this up!!! I have purchased a few times through MAD on Ebay and each time it was an excellent transaction. I went to buy from him this morning and found that he blocked me. I guess I must have hurt his wittle feelwings with the feedback that I left for him on the last transaction. All that I did was say that the transaction went well, and I mentioned a small flaw in the product so that the next buyers of said product should know about it. I also noticed that the feedback I left is PRIVATE so that no one else can see it. Oh well, I'll just go ahead and buy what I need from him through my other Ebay accounts lol.

Having followed this thread, you are still sending this SOB money?

In all fairness this guy has only been on pinside for a year. He probably does not even know what a creep the guy is.

Yep, so many of the newbs like to mouth off about things they know nothing about.

    #921 3 years ago
    Quoted from Coyote:

Honestly, that's just a bad take on it.
It was his purchases; he DID know something about HIS experiences, and he posted what he thought. Absolutely no reason to jump down anyone's throat about it and be mean.

If you had spent as much time and energy on this issue with MAD as I did, you might be jumping down throats as well.

    Quoted from vdojaq:

I assume you haven't been able to get anywhere on this? Authorities could care less?

I was in touch with the Ocean County prosecutor’s office and they essentially did nothing.

Shocking to me that this guy isn’t in a wheelchair yet.
