Reverse this case. IF somebody nearby me cheats people, my friends within our hobby, sure I check the guy personally. Talk to him, or throw him to the dogs, up on his reaction.

Soup Nazi at least gave you your money back when he didn't want your business.
What about filing a report with a federal law enforcement agency? Wouldn't this constitute wire fraud? If you can get enough complaints maybe someone looks into it. It sounds like 5-6 figures have been stolen from individuals overseas.

I actually got a refund for a knockoff wide body lockdown bar he was selling. I ended up getting 2 raw nos widebody lockdowns.

MadMike ribbed many european pinsider and he is still doing it!
I was in the "lucky" situation to loose only 130 USD two years back and since that time I do boycott MadMike. I'm located in Europe so I don't had a real chance to get back my money or at least the paid parts.
He is playing dead man, so if you order for 100 or 500 or 1000 or more USD he will take your money and that's it. If you aren't located in US you won't get anything. I would like to visit him and make clear how mad I am. I hope he is loosing everything he is owning, his (stolen) money, his business, etc ... due to most valuable stuff he owned by ribbing many pinball people. I know German pinsiders which lost thousends of USD.
