Let's see how much alkaline damage was done to the board.
If not too bad, repair may be a better option.
After that, may I suggest looking into what "DumbAss" is doing with reproduction boards.

That can be repaired but it would take a lot of effort.
The area NorthWest of the battery holder looks to be the worst. That area carries the signals to the sound board.
