Man, shoulda told me, we could have traded for your shadow. I did see a nice one here on pinside for $4100

Honestly I didn't even give this game a chance b/c of it being star trek until I posted a thread asking for suggestions. I then looked into it and the game looks perfect for what I'm looking for right now. Not sure that 4100 is still around b/c if so, I'll buy it!

Yeah, I saw it earlier, now it’s gone. It actually my wife’s favorite pin. My pro has colordmd, shaker and mirror blades. We just got Tron, i think that will be her new favorite. Star Trek LE is one of the best looking pins around, I think you’d rather have the premium or LE.

DAMN that looks nice. Exactly what I would do if/when I get mine. Need the alt translite. Are those still for sale? Love the mirrors on this game (although they look good everywhere).

Tron such a beast. I just chromed mine b/c it's sticking around.

Color DMD worth it on this one?

You might be able to get the aurich translite, not sure if he makes it anymore. The one I purchased was on eBay. I think colordmd really improves all pins, especially newer sterns. I don’t think you’ll have a hard time finding a huo for $4000-$4500

Thanks man - I agree with the prem over the pro but rounding up the 5 pin setup and rather save the 2k+. Light show on the prem is sick though. Prob do exactly what you did (alt, color dmd, mirror, shaker) and call it a day.

Yeah I saw that one - in fact I've went through the entire market. Little too far for me and shipping kills it. Like you said, I'm sure something will pop up.

Glad you’re going down the ST path.

The pic above is an Alt translite but not the Aurich. The Aurich isn’t available but the other above is on eBay. I think the Aurich is by far the best, but both are light years ahead of the Pro.

I like playing pins that have ColorDMD but haven’t justified one on any of my pins. It’s $400 to add some color to all of 60 seconds of unique animation... and ST has decent enough dots.

The Prem/LE is a bling machine, but the Pro makes practically zero sacrifices to gameplay. That’s why it’s arguably the best bang for the buck in modern Stern world. You don’t need $1-2K in mods to have a great game. Out of the box is awesome.

Yeah your post really got me to look into this game and glad I did. I pulled my JP ad and going 110% into this game. That top right shot (forgot what it's called) looks so butter smooth and it's exactly what I was looking for along with great ramps, smooth gameplay etc. I never gave it a try b/c I don't care for ST but the sound and music in this game is impressive (callouts not so much but that's fine). Mode based too? get out of here - she's getting a shot.

Just my opinion- I really like Star Trek, but Spider-Man is a really nice pin too. Very similar layout and some of the same shots. I actually wouldn’t mind getting a spider man ve. If you’re looking into Star Trek, check out Spider-Man as well. Both are Steve Richie pins, I think you’d like both

man 2 for 2 tonight! I actually looked into Spiderman right before star trek and although on paper SM is the better theme for me, I don't like the movie lines or the art, the sound and music in ST seems better and the right flipper shot I like on ST b/c it loops. ST also is more mode based (at least on the surface).

SM VE would cool but too expensive

played one today and really enjoyed it. Willing to drive - can pick up tomorrow!!

I have an unused/unopened alternate translight set from Aurich that I bought before I got the game. Ended up finding an LE so never needed the Alt translight set. If anyone is interested in purchasing it, let me know
