I will be joining the Sorcerer club soon! I just put a down payment for a full restored Sorecer from TNT Amusements. Should be done end of Jan, beginning of Feb I'm guessing.

Quoted from kyle5574:

Excellent choice. I saw a glimpse of a Sorcerer in a recent TNT video and wondered when we were going to get to see it. I'm interested in what he does with the playfield. Backglass too, since there's supposed to be a repro coming out from PPS.

Do you recall which vid? I'd like to take a look- I was told "Full TNT treatment" so I'm sure it will be nice!

Quoted from kyle5574:

It was in a recent one. Maybe between 1088 and 1091. Just a brief glimpse of the side art on cabinet and head. Literally one second. Looked like they just had it out getting ready to work on it. They didn't mention it.

Got a glimpse of it in #1086 when Todd talks about the Star Trek.

Steven working on it at 26:42 in 1103!! I may be as anxious as you are to see it!
EDIT: Whoa, I paused too soon! There it is!

Thanks for the heads up! Been wanting to see how it for awhile now, I've been checking the background of his videos for weeks and have only seen shots of the sides. Cool to see the playfield a bit-

Caught a nice under playfield glimpse of my Sorcerer in TNT's latest vid! Can't wait to officially join the club in the coming weeks!

All done! The only thing I am going to want to change is the clear popper caps to the original caps. If anyone has any for sale or knows where to buy some let me know- once it arrives I'll post some pics-

Your playfield and cabinet look really nice!
I thought I might catch him forgetting to replace the flash bulbs behind the eyes, but he got them. I didn't know they were back there for the longest time.
I bet they switched out your pop bumper caps because of how hard it is to find originals that aren't broken. Laser Cue caps are almost identical, if that helps with your search.

I think I saw two diodes on one of your flippers. If so, they switched the original System 9 style serial-wound coils to System 11 style parallel coils. You'll probably want to get rid of the weird big black caps on your EOSes and use standard System 11 2.2mfd 250v capacitors.
If they didn't already do it, don't forget to fuse your bridges so it doesn't catch fire!

Thanks for the info! All very helpful-

Another new video with more info about my Sorcerer. Anyone in Philidelphia area been to the Capital City Arcade Todd talks about back in the day?

Gorgeous!!! Where did you get the restoration done?

TNT. Playfield is in great shape, new Rotten Dog LED displays, working great. I'm not a huge fan of LED lights on older pins but I dig them on this one.

#904 8 years ago

If they had blue (tnt) I'dve been all over those. They do look the best!

On the list- would be nice to have an extra-

I'm still hoping someone makes some repro pop bumper caps. Seems impossible to find originals. Mine needs a set.

Quoted from newmanoconnor:

Did anyone who preordered a CPR playfield get a confirmation email?
I didn't, I've sent a couple follow up emails and no response there... what's normal with this company?

I never did either. Seems like that's how it is.
