You may have seen the mouse infested 3 Jokers on the Projects thread I picked up with the help of Isochronic_Frost a couple weeks ago - well we made the transfer to my possession and I've cleaned out the loose mouse nest detritus, and I'm happy to report that this PF COULD be saved, but it'd be a ton of work. Done it before and would do it again, but wanna make sure there's not a loose PF in someone's pile before attempting a restore on this one.
I'd say the PF is even worse than goingincirclez el dorado thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/a-275-el-doh-rah-no#post-3826313. But I didn't clean it all way down because I already have too many games apart and don't want to tear another one apart right now. The reason I'm thinking it's salvageable at all is that the PF screws nearest to the worst damage move freely, and don't just snap off as I've seen in really badly damaged PFs.
This one reminds me of this Ship Ahoy I did in the mid-aughts - what happens is you end up have to take all the original ink off in the heavily damaged areas, and the wood is permanently darkened: https://photos.app.goo.gl/UZoHmsQwJcpcdqw82
But it's playable in the end, and that's the most important thing to me.
So if you got an extra one of these, or maybe a parts game with one of these titles, please LMK and maybe we can make a deal...
Thanks,
Sean
