I'm a huge fan of early solid state machines, debuting with titles like Evel Knievel and Night Rider that were available in both EM and SS versions, and
continuing into the dawn of System 11 games. I basically lump that category of games into "Early SS". I've looked high and low but have
been unable to come up with a comprehensive list of these games from the various manufacturers or even fan sites devoted to this
period in pinball history. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I can't be the only guy who grew up sneaking into bars, pool halls, bowling alleys, and other grown-up only spots to play
classic games like Strikes & Spares, Genie, or Eight Ball.

From 1978 through 1989? Yikes that is a monster list. Might need to narrow it down.

    Used http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?gtype=SS&mfgid=47&yr=1974-1989&searchtype=advanced

That will get you all Bally SS pins from 1974 through 1989

That doesn't work, IPDB seems to max out at 55 matches. Plus that leaves out all the Williams, Gottlieb, Zaccaria, old Stern, some Data East, Atari, & whatever other odd manufacturers made games in this time.

You just keep changing your search criteria. Cut down the year range, swap in other vendors. Take output and paste into Excel...

Buy a Mr Pinball - Pinball List & Price Guide and it will give you everything you want to know. Normally you can find year old copies for about $10 plus shipping
