Not sure this would work.. 50/60 cycles thing. Would probably need to take the board set out of a normal LE.

    could you tell us why?

every german wants the original logo

and you want the "S" logo ?!?!

    My Guess:
He wants a German Kiss because the German Kiss will be 1 of 60, while the US Kiss will be 1 of 600.

I own one of the original 1978 German Kiss pins and would like this one right next to it. The fact that it's very limited doesn't hurt either.

All LE's are now officially sold out, but good luck on your search.

    #7 8 years ago

I have found many many rare games, good luck with the search I am sure you will find one some day.

    #8 8 years ago

    hey Joe

I would see if any overseas distributors have a LE for sale

highly unlikely you can get a US Distributor to get a Export

but I will never say never

    Looks like a Sweet Game

but as mentioned their most likely all sucked up as KISS is a World Wide Theme

The LEs are still available through distributors.

I tried this route but Stern restricts German distributors from shipping them back to the U.S. You'd of thought the more pins sold the better.

    #14 8 years ago

LE's are sold out TO distributors....some distributors may have some avail.

    Interesting. Why is that?

You may be able to purchase one from an individual in Germany. I'm not sure how difficult it's going to be to switch the game back to 110 instead of 220. With the spike system you probably only have to change the power supply that is in the head.

Find someone in Germany who wants to do a trade.

DON'T ship the whole game, just the backglass.

Yup. Only thing that makes sense really. And it's probably realistic too, because there's someone in Germany who wants to have the only LE with the "real" logo.

Maybe see if you can post something on one of the German pinball forums?

Is Stern only changing the backglass logo? Didn't Bally change it on the PF (and anywhere else... in the manual, maybe?) as well?

EDIT: Granted, I haven't looked at the art so I don't know if the logo is even anywhere on the Stern PF.

    #20 8 years ago

I think i would do the trade, but i am planning to put mine on route . Could be a problem.

    #21 8 years ago

I would think the logo would be changed everywhere on the game, not just the backglass.

    I don't know.

Yes, the German Bally had normal SS

    Quoted from sleethering:

    Interesting. Why is that?

Because it's original and no sane person would ever connect the runes in KISS with Nazi-symbols.

The German version is a figurehead of heavily overdone and misguided political correctness.

    #24 8 years ago

Yep, just like the banning of Wolfenstein 3Ds imagry, etc. Silly censorship does nothing to reverse the crimes of the past, and is just a pain to deal with these days.

Sure. Ship the SS backglass into Germany. What can possibly go wrong?
