I am looking for a Spirit service manual (digital if possible) or some of the schematics to help with isolating a couple of issues.

Hi Steve,
I now have a manual but the issue was that the stargate ramp was actually fluttering and then it appeared that the coil started to cook. I could smell it burning up.
Shut it off and then back on a while later and it did the same thing. I have since removed the coil and have just played the pin without. I should have another A-17875 coil in hand tomorrow and will try this in a day or two.
I don't believe that the transistor is the issue as I have brand new boards from Fred at swemmer.
I'll keep you posted.
