Stop number one was to pick up some Bourbon... and I was bummed to find out that two shops were out of Blantons... both said supply has been limited on purpose (which is what my local shop in Metro DC has told me). Real bummer, because they also told me they sell it for $55. Back home - $80-$85!

Honestly, not really... the backglass is flaking more than I had thought. But that’s a non-issue for me (I’m planning on getting a Repro or getting it restored).

Playfield looks pretty darn good (as pictured in that Facebook ad). Rest of game looks like a good condition routed 1980 game

The lowest left flipper is non-responsive. The owner had installed a new coil to no effect. So, that’s my first order of business. Also, the entire top section of back box lights appears to be out.

The sellers were really nice folks. Nice to meet them.

I’m 100% happy with it, though. Hunting for this game has been fun - and committing to making the trek was a nice little escape from the grind. Know what I mean?

I think this one is going to clean up really well. Unfortunately, it’s going to take me a week or so to free up time to dig in, but I’m really looking forward to it!

LOL... a lot of this was about having a quick little adventure. I was pretty burned out heading into the new year and pledged to dial back a little and seek out opportunities for some unique fun. Sure - I probably could have waited for something closer to home. Maybe... but, this little two-day trip window popped up and I couldn’t resist. If it hadn’t worked out with the seller’s schedule, it probably wouldn’t have happened )

Yes... got up at 4 am... home by 12. But then had to head down toward DC. Which was PAINFUL. LOL... could barely make myself get back into the truck.
