Wanted

Hey there, my fiance and I are getting married in November and have recently gotten into pinball... A LOT! We're looking for a great 90s starter machine (or anything worthwhile really). We'd love one of the following, but aren't super picky (cause we're on a budgy). If you have a nice one that you'd rather sell to someone who will enjoy it instead of a dealer, we'd love to give it a good home!...

World Cup Soccer
Road Show
No Good Gofers
The Shadow
Johnny Mnemonic
NBA (stern)
NBA Fastbreak
Jurassic Park
Fish Tales
Spider-Man
Demolition Man
Funhouse

Be aware that your first pin (like your marriage) will have a honeymoon phase.

#3 5 years ago

Demo Man is about the only one on your wish list that will be had for $2500.00..All the best with the marriage!

#4 5 years ago

Been married going on 30 years. Seems like yesterday. Good times, bad times, always together. Wish you two crazy kids the best!

The Shadow, Jurassic Park, and Demo man are my favs in that list. Shadow is tough, frustratingly so.

I think Jurassic Park or Johnny Mnemonic might be in that range as well. Good luck with your search and you marriage.

Theres something the Pinball Expo needs (or any pin show) is a wedding!! That would be a first.

You have all DMD pins, but none of them in your price range, except for maybe Demo Man. In that range you'll find a lot of numerical and Alpha-numerical games that can be just as fun. A good working SY11 is a good start. F-14 Tomcat and Taxi come to mind.

Up your budget up to 3.5K and your list becomes more viable.

I would just see what's available in your area and buy the title you like the best. Buy smart and trade or sell when you get bored of it.

If you increased your budget even to $3000, you would have a lot more luck finding those games. If not, check out T2, Getaway, and Black Rose. Those are good games you might find for around $2500. I wouldn't start with a tough game like Shadow or Fish Tales. Love those games but gameplay can be frustrating for beginners. Better if you get those once you have a few other machines.

There have been weddings at the Westin the same time as Expo. Different part of hotel, except where they tromped through the tournament. I've been in some of the pictures.

Happened at the first Pintastic too, I rode the elevator with just me and the bride. She was heading to the reception. Plenty of time for a few wedding jokes to cheer her up.

Not on your list but there was a baywatch in Lexington listed here a couple of months ago a little higher than your price I think. Congrats on the marriage. Best of luck.

Demo Man great choice.

For $2500 WCS94 is fun as well, and I would take that over Demo Man.

#16 5 years ago

2500 can get you a Last Action Hero. I think it's a pretty good first pin. It was mine.

#17 5 years ago

I would say that you could possibly find at least solid working examples of WCS, NGG, NBAF, JP and DM in your price range, it just might not happen tomorrow. Obviously minty or restored examples would be more.

You should also check out DE Batman, T2 and Cyclone.

Good luck on finding your first pin, and good luck with the nuptials.

Which Pinball group? I'm always trying to find new options for buying games (still haven't bought my first one, but my wife and I are in a similar situation)

Which Pinball group?

I'm on my phone so I cant seem to copy the group link. Its a closed group called Pinball for sale with about 13k members. Should be easy to find searching that group name
