SO the CEO of the company I work for is commanding the first all civilian Space X mission. This is cool to me on so many levels. Anyway, there are 2 spots remaining!!

Here is the story from the Today show this morning -
    https://www.today.com/video/elon-musk-plans-spacex-mission-with-all-civilian-crew-100387397577?playlist=mmlstodayarchivestuesday-nnd

Here is the webpage for the mission - https://www.inspiration4.com/

I'm too fat to go on the mission, not that I'd be picked anyway. LOL

    Quoted from Kkoss24:

    I’m too fat and broke

Well the entire thing is paid for (including the taxes) so that's not a concern. You'd have to slim down by October though. LOL

    Quoted from mkecasey:

I told my wife about it. I'll go, she won't mind.

She probably jumped at the chance, huh?

    Quoted from SpyroFTW:

I would go, but I doubt I could “donate” enough for the seat. Unless they take monopoly/life money. Physical fitness wouldnt be a problem, but mental might be. I guess as long as I have virtual pinball and headphones I would be ok. Personally I would have no problem being first to mars, even if I knew it was a one-way trip. That is a once ever chance to have and I wouldnt pass it up.

You don't have to donate much to win. They will draw a name from all of the donations. You can give $10 or $10,000,000 makes no difference. And if Jared says that, I believe it. I have worked for him for 15 years and he has never ever steered me wrong.

This was really more a post about what he is doing for St. Jude's than anything, but some of the comments are hilarious I have to admit. Jared is a great guy. He has done so much for me personally that no other company would have done. I have the utmost respect and loyalty toward him.

Still 19 days to donate to St. Jude's and be entered to win!

You may have seen the ad on the big game as well.....

Funny (to me) how the comments think it was a teaser promo for Fantastic 4. EIther way, it's cool. (it is NOT a movie teaser, this is really happening)

I donate to St.Jude's every year, does that mean I'm entered?

I think to be entered, you have to donate via the site www.inspiration4.com

Thank you for your support every year!

    Quoted from Zablon:

They should call this what it is. "Win a chance to die on the way to Mars!"

Except it's not, because they aren't going to Mars, but okay.

    Quoted from Dent00:

I don't really like flying in an airplane, like a 737, much less a space vehicle of some type with no proof that it will not just explode on the launch pad. Sounds extremely risky and not even remotely worth whatever they might charge to get on the vehicle. They could not pay me enough to just test fly it. All it would take is one little precisely placed asteroid and the "mission" would be over, permanently.

They are orbiting the earth , not going to deep space. And there is no cost to the winner. Everything is paid for, including taxes. Sure there are risks, and yes they are higher than just driving a car down the street, but for some it might be worth it.

    Quoted from BudManPinFan:

That’s a hard pass, not going to pay a bunch of money to be a guinea pig for Elon.

Again, you don't have to if you win. Jared is covering all costs including the mission, travel to and from, and accommodations.
