Quoted from ChadNC:What about the Funhouse Shane and you did. That pin was a dog when you got it.
That pin had what looked to be the partial remains of a human turd inside Rudy's head! I think it turned out to be a very decent players quality machine after the shop.
But to comment on everything that has gone on in this thread:
Everyone had different tastes: Leds, powder coating, types of games, etc...
Some will pay "this" for a game, some will pay "that." Some perceive that "X" adds value to a game they are interested in, some see no value, some see a negative impact. So what? We all perceive the world differently.
Shopping out a game is not rocket science. Personally, I enjoy tearing down a machine and rebuilding it to play the best it can within my budget. The process it theraputic and calming for me. It can, however, take a lot of time and can take a lot of materials, which add up monetarily. If one prefers to pull the playfield out, repair, and clear coat on every pin job they do... that is their prerogative, but it is silly for people to put others down just because we don't do everything the exact same way. It is a little bit egocentric... and you know it. If you don't realize it, well I am telling you now.
Settle down and reflect for a minute. This is a forum about entertainment devices. We all love them and that is why we gravitate to this forum to discuss. If we could reduce some of this negativity, it would be nice. It just doesn't make sense to be so hostile towards each other over entertainment.
