TSPP for me, all day long. Owned both and TSPP remains.

LOTR is an amazing game. After a few months it felt like work to play, and ball times felt really long.

TSPP on the other hand, I love, especially now that I mostly understand the rules. (Mostly.)

You can't go wrong with either one, really.
