Do you live in Baltimore City or Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford or Howard counties? Are you proud of your arcade or game room? Does your arcade or game room warrant some much-needed publicity? I am a reporter in Maryland and am looking to profile owners who have upgraded their at-home recreational activities such as elaborate arcade or game rooms. If you are interested, please email me at edward.lee@baltsun.com. Thank you.

Wow! Terrible title for this thread. So you want people to contact you to brag about their game rooms? Do you see how you have applied a prejudgment and negative connotation just by the wording of your listing? Reporter, huh? Good luck with that.

Better title would have been along lines of “promote the hobby, tell me about your game room”. BTW there’s a popular thread about that already.

Sounds like great way to get you house burglarized in Baltimore.

Agree. Very few people know where my collection is. Call me cautious, but I’ve got WAY too much caught up in this hobby to have someone back a trailer up to my place and start loading up!

Trainer? Who are you expecting to steal your stuff, the Old Lady that Lived in a Shoe?

Tex Mex style Chile Verde wet burrito with a sidecar of Spanish rice.
I hate to brag but my friends take one bite and say "Roach...this breeto is a Moth&*%uc@h".

I have no idea what this has to do with anything, but it looks amazing.

Seriously though, if you want to do a Pinball story do it about one of these places.

Crabtowne USA
This place has been a functioning arcade sine the 80s and a bitchin crab shack to boot. I hit it up a couple times a year when I’m in Baltimore for work.
This place is as legit as they come.

Holy Frijoles
Awesome Mexican restaurant with legit good food and an awesome margarita menu. Great selection of pins to boot. My other go to place in Baltimore.

Trust me whe I say the locations could use the coverage and advertising way more than some random dude bragging about what he’s got at home. Do a story on the best pinball spots in Maryland (you have many).

If you need a good news bit there are some locals that donated a handicap accessible pin to a children's hospital, and a local company that donated a new pin to Walter Reed for wounded warriors. I think it is still set up there.

The OP's choice of words is not great, but generally local news stories about pinhead collections turn out pretty well.
Hope you get a nice, positive story.

It's click bait, it's what reporters are known for to get people to look. But yes; could have been much more specific.

I've thought that numerous times watching shows like American pickers or pawn stars. Are these the actual front doors of people? If I have a super rare and valuable item, is it really worth showing it off to let the world know exactly where it is?

There's a guy in Ontario Canada with one of the best video game collections in the world. I've seen him and his house on at least 5 tv shows and other news features over the years that it would very easy to know exactly where he lives.

i wonder if it will have a full paragraph about how a bunch of cynical know-it-all's on a pinball forum treat someone just trying to write a friendly story, or if he'll just keep it to a sentence or two.
