Quoted from epthegeek:There's not much randomness to caged pops with 1 exit.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Most modern Sterns are like this where the ball can only come out of the pops in one place.
Quoted from beatmaster:When will Stern understand that a good code before putting the machine out in public is important?
As soon as they stop selling out all their LE's within days of them going on sale.
The LE is going to play so much different than this game. I predict that the magnet in front of Wellverine will turn it into a very fun and unpredictable bash toy. Crossbow should be pretty cool as well. Would I have liked to have seen something cooler done with the jail? Absolutely, but I still think all the ingredients are there for a really fun pinball experience. I'm just damn glad Lyman is steering the ship on this one.
Quoted from DaveH:Confirmed: I'm out. I got really excited by this game, and I had quotes to buy one. I was just waiting to see what they did. Seriously, I don't care about the rules at this stage of the game because I know it is just in its infancy. Even seeing the gameplay didn't worry me that much because I realize what a skilled programmer can do with a game (for an example see AC/DC). But the theme had to be delivered. I was even fine with no custom callouts. But nothing from any of the actors? Without that it really is just a generic zombie theme (except for the AMC all over it).
I too am discouraged by the fact that there are no voice clips from the show. It's not a deal-breaker for me, but it seems like an odd decision by Stern.
You would have thought that Stern would have learned a lesson from the whole Avengers debacle. It just doesn't make any sense to secure such a kick-ass license and then not incorporate any of the actors' voices into the game.
Quoted from Rcade:For me, this game will be all about the amount of immersion as to whether or not it's a winner for me. On layout/shot feel alone I don't feel like it'll interest me much, but if the code, lights and theme really come together and immerse me in that world while I play, I'll be all about it!
That's why it's so hard to judge the pin based on a video where you can barely hear it.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:Actually the LE only has RGB lighting in the arrows and star rollovers. Of course it also has colored GI lighting, but most of the inserts are white in both models.
This seems like a huge step back for the LE's. One of the things I love most about my STLE is the fact that every single insert on the game is full RGB. I can't imagine this was a cost cutting measure. Perhaps they felt that too many multi-colored inserts would have taken away from the awesome artwork.
Quoted from jetspeedb:Its not even RGB from what I read....Its Red Green White .......which is odd.
Red, green and white are the GI colors. The arrow inserts will indeed be fully controllable RGB.
Quoted from mrdeline:Also, the guy uploaded another video:
That's pretty crazy how all the lights go out when you shoot the right orbit. Makes it damn hard to pick up the ball as it comes racing back to the flippers. This looks like it's going to be a very hard game.
