Smart money would be to "split the baby" and do a hand-drawn version of the AMC Show.

#252 5 years ago

Has potential for good sound fx

#253 5 years ago

Iron Maiden will be remembered much more than TWD in the end when were all dead n gone if they are in fact both made at some point time.

If it's not WD or Led Zep my money is very safe.

LIAR, you know you'll fall in line with the Lemming march.

You just blew the mind of a few people who are unable to think outside of their uncreative box with this simple well said suggestion.

Quoted from dt3:

Just because we disagree doesn't mean I don't know about the subject. While I haven't regularly purchased/read in years to say I know nothing about the subject is just foolish. I know that while the community is loyal it is, in the big picture of things, very, very small.
As much as it sucks to admit stern has pit crossover appeal over what would make a bad ass looking black/white pencil sketched cabinet when it comes to theme selection. When you only have 2, maybe 3, opportunities for new titles a year you really can't blame them.
The TWD license isn't coming at a discount for either medium. No way they are paying all that money when they can put ricks big stupid face on the back for such a similar number.

I was pointing out the fact that you made a foolish statement stating no one cares about TWD comics when it's still placing in the top 10 comics sold each month.

Only if it's something I want. I don't see a Mustang around here.

Quoted from Rarehero:

I think X-Men & Avengers are bigger comic books with bigger fanbases than Walking Dead will ever have...and those games only sold OK.

I think the flaw in your thinking here is that TV show makes the following for WD much bigger than the the following of X-Men or Avengers. Those two titles pull their fans from mainly comic readers (yes I used to be one). The TV show is a multi national smash with millions upon millions of fans around the world. Here are some fun facts about the novel series

This is from Kirkman a few years ago "There are 13 trade paperback collections, collecting the entire periodical series. Kirkman said the initial printing of the first volume was about 10,000 copies and volume two released about 20,000 copies initially. “We’ve been working our way up. Now we sell 50,000 to 60,000 copies of a trade paperbacks in the first month.” Currently, Image said that initial print runs for trade paperback volumes are 100,000 copies."

The last two graphic novel series, which have now reached 21, are reaching sales nearing 300,000. That is a crazy lot of books for a graphic novel but still doesn't compare to the TV show numbers. I still agree art from books should be used to make it more pinball friendly

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before you trade off some kick ass DE title and replace it with Mustang.

Quoted from benheck:

Maybe there's a farmhouse, and you shoot the ball into it and it stays there for 11 months? Is there a mode where you slice open your mother then shoot her? Video mode could be Glen rocking out of the chair he's handcuffed to stop his girlfriend's rape.
NONE OF THIS SOUNDS FUN!

Yeah...that's the spirit!

Music over TV show no brainer. Come on man.

Quoted from ek77:

Stern titles iconic vs flash in the pan. Iconic things around ten years or more flash less then ten years.
Iconic
IJ . SX . RS . Monopoly . TRON. NFL. T3. TSPP. RBION. PLAYBOY. GP. FG. LOTR. WOF. HD. NBA. SM. BM. Transformers. XMEN. Avengers. AC/DC. MET. IM . ELVIS Nascar
FLASH
Avatar. BBH. WPT. CSI. 24. AP.SS. SOPRANOS. HRC. POTC
Sterns least popular games for the most part come from the flash as well as the number of games say no walking dead

The walking dead comic is already 10 years old so I wouldn't say it's a flash in the pan.

Neither is HRC. Casino gambling is one of the oldest themes in that post.

Well...except that the Avengers movie made like $1.5 billion dollars. I think a few people other than comic readers must of seen it.

True. Marvel has done a wonderful job tying all their movies titles together to create a broader fan base than usual with comic realted movies

It's hard to compare movies to pinball though.

Well I don;t know aboot that exactly. Comic movies have been doing well for a long time. Superman & Batman did great in the 80s/90s.

Yeah, I guess I didn't word that the way I wanted it to sound. Marvel is just doing a tremendous job with all the cross promotion between movies. Having characters that cross over from individual movies to make a big blockbuster like the Avengers is almost unprecendented on the scale they are doing it. I give them much kudos for it too.

Gotcha and agree. Don't sleep on DC though because with Ben Affleck as Batman I think they are really going.....oh jesus never mind that's going to be a dumpster fire.

I wonder if they're adding a scene where Bruce Wayne gets kicked out of a Gotham City casino?

But seriously, a dumpster fire?!? You've got Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman...err...okay, dumpster fire it is. Maybe Schwarzenegger can return as Mr. Freeze and put it out.

#271 5 years ago

I think a justice league machine could be cool, done in comic book style of course.

#272 5 years ago

A Justice League machine, with comic art would be awesome.......Ben Affleck sucked as Daredevil...and now he can suck as Batman......

I may be mistaken, but I some something very similar looking played by Jamie Fox in the Spidermande` 2 trailers.

Completely agree on this. Done with comic-book art, I'd be in on a Justice League pin.

Never thought about it until you mentioned it, but you're right. Don't mind Jamie Fox playing Electro, but the look they gave the character doesn't do it for me. As goofy as some may think he looks, Electro is green and yellow.

I can tell you right now I'm not going to be the shi* out of it harder and faster than anyone who has posted; fact;;done deal;;;forever.

Unless it's the comic and not TV then I'll give her a little looskie

Justice League...with Alex Ross artwork..........................a team of super heros and super chix (not just one character), not tied to a specific movie, ton of artwork possibilities.............

I am not Canadian, but I type certain(t) things in my own way.

#280 5 years ago
Quoted from benheck:

Of course I'm biased! That said, there are things about Chuck's game I don't agree with either.
As a pinball developer, it is disheartening when something like MMR, or a DMD Funhouse, or Walking Dead gets announced because you see that as millions of dollars being sucked out of the market in a heartbeat.
Same problem with Hollywood spending $200 million on a sequel reboots nobody wants, when you could make 5 original movies for that price.

I think the safest bet is to use the show actors and tie the theme in loosely. Its a zombie pin and the series is in no way nearly complete or run its course. So stepping back and just theming it walking dead with our favorite characters might be the way they have to go.

#281 5 years ago

XMEN avoided the movies completely and they were HUGE money makers. Xmen Characters are more iconic that TWD for sure though.

Anything with Alex Ross Artwork!

#283 5 years ago

Yeah another comic book movie where good guy always wins and bad guy stops them once in the movie but in the end is defeated by special powers and over done computer special effects where the action is back n forth and can't even focus on the character or actor. But hey that's movies today and guess people like them but not me and my money. Boring and acting sucks these days for the most part.

A new Godzilla would be much more fun imho.

You do realize that the art director responsible for this type of look quit during development of metallica, right?

NO!! Please make Beavis and Butt-Head.

The Walking Dead
Muppets
Iron Maiden

They also have Superman license

I love me some B&B but damn that just has annoying written all over it. Hearing those laughs every time a pop bumper is hit could rival a Simpsons or SP game. Maybe even Pesci...well no, I shouldn't get ahead of myself.

#294 5 years ago

Speaking of Pesci, they could do a "My Cousin Vinny" machine. It could have a two ball mulitball called The Two Yewts

#295 5 years ago

I don't think it will matter to them but another advantage to a comic version is licensing. Then they'd just need a deal with image and kirkman. If they do a tv version you have to pay image, kirkman, Amc, and all the actors for their likeness rights. Lot bigger headache.

#296 5 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

Pretty sure the art for that was well underway during development of met / before he left.

So Borg, Trudeau, Ritchie on each of those.

I think Steve will be up again before Trudeau. He will probably get superman as well since that was the rumor before The movie delay.

I hope this means Borg is lined up for a new Star Wars game at the end of next year.

#298 5 years ago

Whatever they choose, I would love it if it suits the theme for stern to do variant playfield art, so for walking dead you have the pro using the tv theme, and one of the LE can have the art based on the graphic novel.

These rumors are getting pretty solid so I am assuming 3 out of above 4 will get done.

Pass on all 4 for me. But a Led Zeppelin pin might motivate the wallet
