Quoted from mechslave:The art package would just be SO much better with the comic book pin. With the TV show theme, it's going to be the same old photoshop ugly ass terrible art package Stern is known for.
Comic book, I might be in. TV show (especially with it turning into a soap opera where nothing really happens), no thanks!
TWD television show has jumped the shark, I'm afraid. The actors simply aren't good enough, or interesting enough characters, to hold these tedious soap opera (Open every scene with a kiss) storylines together and keep my interest. The show was great, and the actors served the purpose, when the storyline was simply straight-ahead, no time to slow down, no time to think, just move, Zombies, imminent death, survival, etc.... that was a great show. Middle of last season to date has been a big disappointment. A year ago, I might be with you in hoping for a TV show theme, but not anymore...
The comic book series is awesome. I wait until the collected HC editions and read them 12 issues at once. I have not been disappointed with the books and have been reading them for many years.
W/O giving any spoilers, assuming they do a TWD pin based on TV or comics, I am curious where do they freeze the story? The book is way ahead in timeline versus the TV show. Like any ongoing saga, as it keeps going, the plot/characters change.
Look at the Sopranos pin as an example.
If it is too generic focusing just on zombies, then it may not even need to be labeled TWD except that helps in name recognition.
