Based on a couple distributor websites the premium increase might actually be less than 1000. I'm seeing 8299 now which is 500 more than sterns current MSRP on their site.

My distributor called this afternoon to let me know my Mando accessories were in, which is great, except that I don't have a game to put them on yet. And the latest is that the premiums might get pushed past December which equals an extra $1,000. Can't say I'm surprised.

    Quoted from Insanity199:

I agree. I was trying to stay positive on this given their supply chain and labor issues. However, I am now convinced their incentive to build my DP and Mando at the lower price before end of year is low. Stern just released Godzilla, then shortly after JP "The Pin" and now another limited edition run of Elvira. If they can manufacture all of those prior to end of year, I can no longer subscribe to the supply chain excuse. In general, these pins use a majority of the same parts and no one can convince me that they can get all the parts for a Godzilla but not get all the parts for pins that they have already been producing prior.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts.

If you want to go into conspiracy theory territory you might think they are still building the backordered pins, stashing them wherever they have room, and waiting for them to become more profitable after Jan. 1. And the pinball expo Stern factory tour on Thursday is now virtual.
