Data East, 1994Having an issue with my VUK in my Guns n Roses pin. When I get the ball in the add a band member section the ball will sometimes sit in the VUK until the system does a ball search in which case the ball will be launched. Other times it works as it is supposed to and will register the ball, add a member, and shoot the ball up. I thought it was teh switch since it was intermittent. I ordered and installed a new switch same problem. Don't know where to look next.
Did you try testing the switch in switch test mode? I have a jurassic park that had the same problem. I had to adjust the switch. First test the switch to make sure it is functioning properly. Second, make sure the switch is activated when it's in the vuk. May just need adjusted.
Ok figured it out, the diode on the VUK switch was on backwards. I had replicated the direction from the old switch to the new. Previous owner had it on wrong. Looks like I didn't even need to buy a new switch.
For future readers, check your diode direction and match to the manual not to the existing setup.
