I've been having a riot with mine. I can't remember a gaming purchase I've made in the past several years that I've gotten more out of.

You've got to back up the vive with a beastly PC though.

...who needs a basement game room anymore?

I don't think I'd recommend a 970. That's the minimum requirement, and you won't get to do much super sampling, if any. Nvidia's 1070 or 1080 series of video cards are much better options. I went off the deep end and and went with the Titan X Pascal (but it's still way cheaper than pinball!).

But that's why being able to crank supersampling is important. It sharpens up text a lot.

There's a 4K (really 2K) Chinese headset that's cheap but has no room scale or advanced tracking. From what I hear, it's great for seated games like Project Cars and Elite Dangerous.

it's around $300. PIMAX 4K UHD, keep in mind, it will be pushing 4x the pixels at that resolution and that's limited to 60Hz.

Quoted from neurokinetik:

I'm not going to drop more money on it just to see how it looks in VR.

Go ahead and buy it on Steam. As long as you don't play it for longer than 2 hours, or own it for over 14 days, you can return it for a full refund. No strings attached.

Pinball FX2 VR is on sale, along with the first season pack.

I bought them, and I have to say it's pretty damn good!
