I played a vertigo this weekend at the York show. I played some pinball on it and didn't find it uncomfortable but I would prefer a larger traditional cabinet to play virtual pin. However playing mame on it was fun and I like the small foot print as an addition to the gameroom for mame. If I was you, I'd try it out myself. You may love it or not, but only you can decide.

Quoted from andrewket:

I’m considering adding a VP cabs vertigo to my collection. My interests are less about virtual pinball and more about MAME, but I like the footprint of the vertigo, and having the buttons in the right place and the orientation for pinball is a nice to have.
Questions for those that have one of these:
Do you use it for MAME? Are you happy with it? Would you recommend a different cabinet or vendor if the primary focus is not virtual pinball?
Thanks!
