Local store has what they call 4K glass. Looked real good. Thinking any glass place would have glass with a no reflective coating. would 4ak, voodo glass etc be any different than standard non reflective glass from a glass place?

    Quoted from spidey:

Get a quote for a pinball sized sheet (or pair) of non-reflective glass. So far voodoo is the cheapest at $215/sheet

Oak Cliff Glass, on N. Beckley, said they can order non reflective tempered glass and have it in 2 days, for $79. That's not delivered, but unless someone has a really small car, it would fit along the back seat. No telling how that non-reflective coating would compare to the brand name glass. I'll probably get it, once I figure out how to keep the ball from hitting the glass off the center drop targets on Mystic.

spidey Did you check out the anti glare glass at the place in Oak Cliff?

There is a can light with an LED bulb (100w equivalent) right over my two machines. How much can I expect the expensive glass to help with that?

    Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

    Unscrew that Bulb!

    Thanks.

Just ordered a two pack of Invisiglass from Cointaker, one for Mystic and one for Heat Wave, at the sale price. Really looking forward to having clean glass on these.

I have now spent more on Heat Wave than it is worth, but I plan to be enjoying it for a very long time.

    Invisiglass!

The before and after pictures didn’t show a big difference, but it looks great live & in person.

Does it matter which side is up? Just noticed the logo is on the underside.

    #179 3 years ago

It helps. I needed new glass anyway. Love how clear it is.

How susceptible to scratching is invisiglass? Do I need to freak out when a friend puts his keys or a coke can on the glass?

    #211 2 years ago

It is a friend who is used to clanking his beer down at the bar and wouldn’t know invisiglass from a coke bottle.

And, I wouldn’t expect a non pinballer to think twice about it.

Oh, dear. A local pinball tech scoffed at my invisiglass. He said that the games (EMs) were meant to be viewed through regular glass and that if glare is a problem I should turn off the lights.

Every one is entitled to their opinion, I guess.
