Check the solder tabs and connections. I had to reflow the match unit pcb before it would work on mine. Since messing with the score reels has changed things, I believe that is where your problem is.

On the reels. There are a couple with redundant contacts. This is in case one gets dirty. Make sure they all work as they should and are clean. Solder tabs need to be straight and away from adjacent tabs.

Actually, I stand corrected. Each reel does go through the AX. I had to look at the schematic again.
