Circling back to this stumper from my Gottlieb Volcano.

Subway kicker when fires, blows the driver mosfet & it’s respective fuse (F15)

Replaced diode & coil.

Checked red-brown-brown. (Driver to coil wire)
Until the bottom of the playfield.

If I unhook the coil from the MPU. Then trigger it. Fuse and mosfet are fine.

Last thing I did before this issue popped up was repin the MPU to Driver.
Checked it against my Black Hole harness & I didn’t mix up any wires. Only added extra ground & voltage wire as recommended.

But I have an original MPU and they neither one fix this issue.

I should note that both drop target banks are on the same ground line & both of those work fine.

Any thoughts?

I had to store the machine to get room to work on a few others. But, I'm starting to think I got a bad batch of diodes. Going to set this one back up in (at this point 3 months) and get back to it.

The diode is in the correct way.
