Last Thursday bingo genius and good friend Nick Baldridge, from Richmond, Virgina and IPDB head honcho and also a good friend Jay Stafford from Seattle flew into St. Louis on their way to Wayne Neyen's 100th birthday party in Mountain Home, Arkansas. My good friend Jon Mueller also joined us for the day.
We all had a great time playing and talking pinball and I look forward to us meeting up again. Thanks for a good time guys.

    Dennis,
It was a wonderful time! Thank you very much for letting us invade. Your games are beautiful, and I greatly enjoyed my time at your home.

I'm terrible at taking pictures, but I thought I'd add a few of my own - unfortunately, my phone ran out of battery, but thankfully the memories will last until I can get back out your way.

Jay and I had a round of "All-Star Bowler" - I think I barely squeaked by Jay on this game. I love the Bally red reels and the lane and pins on this game. Gorgeous!

Jay was on his way to the bingo area in the photo.

    IMG_20180726_153823 (resized).jpg

How about this Keeney "Lite-A-Line"? I shot for a 5 in a row and Jay got the win. There is a bar in the back that you can actuate with a flipper button - like a reverse Hi-Fi! I could see whiling away quite some time competing with others on this game.

    Jon and Jay discuss.

    IMG_20180726_161104 (resized).jpg

And yet another "Lite-A-Line" - this also a Keeney. I was very excited to play this game as it is a multi-coin game with, essentially, six super cards. I played for quite a few rounds before I won the replays shown in this photo. Later, I managed to get A-F lit, but you'll have to take my word for it.

    IMG_20180726_165410 (resized).jpg

And the last picture I took - Dennis and his bagatelle! This game was incredibly fun. Talk about skill! I missed my shot about 400 times before finally figuring out the correct strength needed. I was very impressed that Jay got one of the 150 point trap doors.

    IMG_20180726_192256 (resized).jpg

Thank you again for the hospitality, Dennis. This trip was extremely memorable for a number of reasons, and spending time with you, Jon and Jay was a highlight in a trip full of highlights.

Nick, I think I was walking away in defeat, as you kept getting strikes on that bowling game! It was nice meeting you in person after having emailed with you. You have an impressive (er, amazing) command of the bingo game models such that I'd hate to be the one to compete against you on Jeopardy about it.

Nick found how the timer worked on my camera, so we could make the picture with all of us in it:

Dennis, thank you for having us over to visit and play your fun games. It was nice meeting Jon, please tell him I said hello.

Very interesting and fun. Hope there is a follow up topic post about the visit to Wayne's Bday party.

Oh, if only! So much wasted potential in that picture - had I hit the rollover and lit after 5th, I could have scored four in the yellow section for 50 and 3 in the red for an additional 8 (hey, every bit helps).

But I was mostly going for the futurity hit because my green odds were uncharacteristically much higher than the rest! I managed the OK hit in my first two balls, the rest were gravy.

Jay, it was great to meet you and be able to play some games together! I've learned that you are not to be trifled with on the rolldown Lite-A-Line, the Carombolette, and the bagatelle... I bet you're pretty good at billiards, too!

OMG that Golden Gate slot machine, now I want one of those!! I’m a big fan of Dave Christiansen. Too bad it looks like it’s about impossible to get, I didn’t find any for sale. There aren’t even any decent pictures that I can find on the internet. Any chance you could post a better close-up of yours?

Here are some better photos of the slot. I also included photos of my Miss America Deluxe bingo that also has Mad Dog art.

One of Tim Arnold's old VHS tapes that he used to do in the '90s had his Miss America game in it and he showed how it worked in great detail. It was really fun to see.

Might have been his "Bingorilla" tape.

    Thanks for the pics.
