Quoted from Nokoro:I was also considering getting Myst since I loved that game as a kid. Anyone have it, and does it hold up and translate well in the VR world.
I purchased it day one. I've been a huge fan of the series for a long time (As if my username doesn't give that away) and I have to say this is going to be the best version of Myst by far. I say "going to be" because it doesn't quite feel finished yet (I have a strong feeling that the Quest version was rushed to release in time for the holidays). It's definitely worth buying now but if you can it might be best to wait until a few more updates, specifically the one that will add in-game note taking. Graphically it looks fantastic. Even though the graphics are held back by the Quest hardware compared to the PC screenshots the art direction is the best it's ever been. Sound design is great too, definitely use headphones if you can. Finally, a word of caution is to be sure that you manually save often, as there are a few bugs in the current version that can result in you getting stuck in walls which can't be fixed by loading the autosave.
