VP cabs is the best option but there’s a reason you see virtual pins on Craigslist and Facebook all the damn time. It’s nothing like real pinball and it’s nowhere near as exciting. You will bore of it quickly.
Real pins hold their value, however you will NEVER get back the money you put into virtual pins.
Make local friends, do temporary trades to spice up the collection. Join or start a home league or local co-op.
I can’t afford any of the 90s B/W games. Almost all of my collection is from buying cheap junkers and putting in the work to restore them. I actually picked up a side gig with a local arcade to be their tech and in exchange I get the awesome workshop as my own. If you don’t have money, you can invest time and effort to get similar results.
