This is my custom cartboard controller for Pinball FX2 and Pinball Arcade.

Playing Aliens pinball on Pinball FX2 in honor of Bill Paxton.

I'm kind of excited about this product:

First serious commercial product available in the VR field?

That cardboard pedestal should win an award!

Well, thank you! Cardboard and hot glue makes for surprisingly sturdy structures!

gregh43 and BorgDog, you guys have vcabs? Could you please talk about your setups? I'm really interested. I run Pinball Arcade and Pinball FX2 on a regular 1080p 55 inch screen, with my custom controller. I might like to make the jump to a real vcab. Thanks!

Pinball FX3 is coming soon, and will fully support DirectX11. It promises to be super cool!

    Nice!

This is my setup. It's completely mobile (I can bring it to micro-breweries and such for fun play!), made of thick cardboard, different duct tapes and hot glue. Monitor stand is not done, needs to be fully painted. I mostly run Pinball FX2 as I prefer the "arcade" feel of these games (since I have a real pinball machine collection for such seriousness). I cannot wait for Pinball FX3. I hope it gets released soon.

Last night, played Ghost Busters Premium table on my cardboard Virtual Pinball Rig. GB was released 2 days ago on Steam (The Pinball Arcade). A little buggy, and requires a pretty hefty CPU compared to Pinball FX2. I might not purchase the real machine, but I can get my fix for $9.99 here!

I love how this came out.

    Nice job!

It's a nice size too. Practical.

    Quoted from mwong168:

Unfortunately I don't think anyone in the VP community is going to make these two files readily available in a nice package

Probably not, because it's highly illegal to do so.

News: No more WMS tables in Pinball Arcade (license expires June 30).

    Quoted from kickthefog:

do I even want to spend money on tables that I may or may not be able to play if the company folds

My exact question today also... Hm.

My rig is portable, meant for parties. It's made of cardboard and hot glue.

    Quoted from stefanmader:

Started and after some automatic repair, everything started normal and i could play virtual pinball. Hurray

You should back up your SSD. Do not trust hard drives. Back them up ASAP. Trust me.
You can easily make an image of a disk with Acronis, or any other disk image tool.
