Solid vinyl plank has a thin wear layer protecting photographic type imaging. The wear layer holds up well for heavy weighted caster type movement where the load is from the top only. If repeated nudging ,especially side to side, occurs this wear layer will be damaged, in my opinion.
Another issue with solid vinyl plank in a basement is the wider temperature variance of the concrete. Vinyl is inherently dimensionally unstable and affected by temperature, similar to what occurs with real wood planks. It will be waterproof but will gap when cold enough. The gapping is worse at the butt ends. The wider plank choices will definitely alleviate this. Also, be sure and use a “hard set” adhesive. The “soft set” types will keep the floor down but will do nothing to inhibit gapping.
For a game room with pinball I would suggest Ceramic, Porcelain or natural stone with very small grout joints. Decorative Concrete would be good and can be beautiful.
