Love this thread and love Vida work. Personally, I wouldn't do the linear bally swap out....too much for too little; UT that's just me

Vid, Can you please tell me the part number of the - 1 Lever Arm Assy-L for the KT-BFLIP03 rebuild kit if you know it? Had an issue with mine and need to replace it

Thanks!

Quoted from vid1900:

BLY-A3711-3 is probably what you are looking for

Great thanks!

OK Vid finally done switching my FG linears out after having a devil of a time. They're snappy alright, but now when now when the flipper is hit in the up position, they get pushed down a bit. Hmm...maybe they always did that, been playing too much GB lately. I'll check out another FG tonight

So it is diff'rent...they do get pushed down a bit. And the flipper bat is cranked down tight as hell so its confusing me

Quoted from chuckwurt:

It's the paw. Does it happen when you dead bounce too?

Hmm I don't think so but I'll have to check. I'll crank it down harder and try...it should work fine as I followed vids guide here.

Ahh...I appreciate you taking the time Chuck, but I have switched out my linear flippers to the ones Vid describes in this thread.
They didn't move at all when I had Linears in

#1485 7 years ago

You can never put a man down for rushing to help another; thanks!

I see after reading some threads that a poor hold can also come from the coil stops...since they were both reaplced it's a possibility

Quoted from SomeCaliGuy:

FL23/600 - 30/2600? Where does this number come from?

Well the first number is the gauge of the wire and trhe second is how many times it's wond...winded...(whatever the real term is) around

The leaf switch alignment is correct here. You opening is more open than mine, so I would just try adjusting it more away from the arm.
I assume you already checked the sleeve and bushing? Is there a little play on the flipper bat can still move just a touch up and down?

#1969 6 years ago
Quoted from Pball1001:

It does have some play up and down witch the right one does not. Is that whats causing the weakness?

No it would usually be the other way around. Sometimes the the bat is cranked down super hard with no up and down play (just a little wiggles worth) it won't be at 100%.

Quoted from lightingnut:

How do I go about fixing this? Looks to need new holes drilled
....

Naw much easier. Get a toothpick or 2 (chopstick, skewer), wood glue/gorilla, dip in glue, stick in hole, snap off or let dry then snap/cut off wood sticking out of hole.
Ready to go after that

Quoted from rmillman:

does turning the coil around make the plunger want to go in the opposite direction?

No and Infact many people flip them on purpose to move the lugs away from the stops.
