Item description

Up for sale is my very rare Jungle Queen made by Pinball Shop. Clearly based on Romancing the Stone. This machine is fully working and in very good condition as you will see in the pictures. I’ve added many pictures to show all aspects of the machine.

I welcome messages and enquiries.

It is designed on same layout as the original EM Jungle Queen by Gottlieb with different art. It uses a Charlie’s Angel cabinet and driver board and this is fitted with a modern cpu based on original board. Weirdly works off pinball pool rom.

It is so rare that I had to request the game to be added to the pinside database because there was no knowledge of it. How often do you see a machine that pinside didn’t even have any record of?

I specialise in rare pinball machines and have many others for sale including rare NOS Geiger conversion kits available too, if rare unusual machines do interest you please check out and follow my Instagram page if you don’t already called paragon_pinball. I try to regularly post pics of what’s available or coming up for sale.

I have sold many pinballs to USA and can help ship machines and kits. Not a problem, if you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to ask.

Enjoy the pics.

transprtr4u very true my friend but I don’t think it was a high priority mid 80s for them to worry about and whoever eventually buys it can choose to either leave it or decorate it how they see fit tbh but I hope you enjoyed the pics regardless

Dan1733 thank you for the kind words you have some very nice machines yourself!! I Always wanted a Hankin. I’ve got a few others I can’t add yet as they aren’t on the database but someday I’ll get it updated to do so and if you are interested in anything feel free to get in touch my friend!!

Didn't realize it was done that long ago, still very cool , now the hours of Google searches to follow up on the unique collection of games you have .
Thanks for the pictures.
Always nice to learn or discover something new !

Coolpinballdino thank you I hope you enjoyed pics

transprtr4u all cool !! Ironically it’s funny you mentioned the cabinet because I’m selling some rare and very cool NOS Geiger Conversion kits and have actually designed cabinet panels for them haha. So again if someone buys a kit there’s a cabinet panel set optional. Recently developed a new product (PinGlass) with a friend which we will be offering soon for all machines which is a vinyl decal replacement.

terrific lake and Wolfman are news to new but both look amazing

#10 3 months ago

mjg417 I’m going to be selling wolfman soon if it’s of interest. Just pm me. Thanks

#11 3 months ago

I’m a little confused. It’s basically a jungle queen with a custom backglass? In a wrong cabinet? I’m not sure what is selling here, but I’m not in the market anyway! Haha. So glwts!

#12 3 months ago

paynemic its not that confusing haha and no your incorrect. Original Jungle Queen is EM not SS. This is not in the wrong cabinet as it was the cabinet this needed and the playfield artwork is also different as are the plastics.

Not to mention how rare this is. As opposed to the near 7000 units made of the Gottlieb game of same name.

It would appeal I guess to someone who likes rare machines or maybe a closet Michael Douglas fan! Who knows haha

#13 3 months ago

Interesting.
How was this accomplished?
System 1 Charlie’s Angels software?
Jungle Queen PF switches converted to low voltage switches and wires to the System 1 switch matrix?
Mapping from Charlie’s angels switches and lamps to Jungle Queen switches and lamps?

A lot of though must have been involved here.

Cool. And that's a very nice collection you have!

For many years, I was also into rare/hard-to-find Spanish games. I had Mephisto, Jolly Park, Mach 2, Io Moon, Metal Man, and Verne's World. There's some stinkers over there, but a bunch of cool ones as well! My Verne's World probably won't ever leave unless I find a nicer example.

ChrisHibler tbh I can’t really explain technically how they did this. I know weirdly it’s supposed to use pinball pool rom. Which as someone since your post has already mentioned ipdb.org which is where I got that info. This has original driver board but cpu is modern and looks like a reproduction system 1 board to me.

MattElder yes I love other countries as well not just Spain. This is Italian, but I have machines from Tecnoplay like Hi-Ball which is technically San Marino but I think normally classed as Italy. I’ve had French machines and currently a couple from Portugal as well as well as Lots from Spain, regards the ones you mentioned I have all of those at the moment except IO Moon and Vernes World which I did have but recently sold them both. I still have the others you mention though.

If you have access to the game, could you post a clear image of the inside of the backbox?
I'd love to see the actual boards.
Perhaps a closeup of the MPU board used also?

Was there a legal reason or something why they didn't just retitle it "Romancing the Stone" since they went ahead and put the real actors on the glass, especially since it's a one-off conversion and apparently the glass artwork is from scratch?

#21 3 months ago

Love the creepshow and splatterhouse figures ,where did you get those?

#22 3 months ago

Very cool. I'm confused by the playfield, though. It's not exactly Jungle Queen...at a minimum, there are extra inserts above and below the circle of 10 inserts in the middle. And an extra rollover switch. So do you suppose they just cut extra inserts in a Jungle Queen playfield?

And on a System 1 board set instead of EM. Very wild.

#24 3 months ago

mjg417 the creepshow figures are made by monstarz and normally available on eBay etc. the splatterhouse though is one of only 5 or so which is handmade. I went through phase where I was collecting bootleg figures haha. Again a lot of them are on my Instagram page paragon_pinball if you want to see more.

frenchmarky the backglass isn’t the only artistic difference, the plastic set and playfield artwork is all different. I tried to show in pics but Michael Douglas is making another appearance between the pop bumpers and the crocodiles and whip etc are all film related. Regards title I’d assume it’s a licensing thing, I don’t know. But again Michael Douglas didn’t have a moustache in the film so I’m assuming that was also deliberate haha.
